Avery-Rose

"Mommy, were at grandad's." Ellie points out.

"Yes we are baby." I smile down at her, grabbing her tiny hand. "Do you want to knock El?" I ask her and she nods, immediately knocking on the door. The door opens to revile a blond hair bimbo.

"Avery-Rose, I didn't expect to see you or Lizzy here." She says with a fake smile.

"Well Ellie and I wanted to make a quick visit so I could talk to my dad. Is he here?" I ask getting to my point. No part of me wants to have small talk with Lillian.

"He is, but he's not very happy with you. And I'm trying to bring your father into his happy place,so negativity isn't allowed in my house." Excuse me?

"I'm sorry Avery-Rose but you'll have to come back another time."

"Okay first of all, not your house. Second of all shut up." I say and push past her with Ellie stills holding on to my hand. I walk over to my fathers office and see him looking at his computer. I pick up Ellie and knock in the open door twice. My father looks up from his screen. At first he looks happy to see me, but then his look quickly changes to disappointment.

"Avery-Rose," he says in a stern voice.

"Dad," I try to say confidently. It didn't work.

"Hi grandpa!" Ellie cheers and runs behind the desk, jumping on his lap.

"Hi Lizzy." He smiles kissing her forehead.

"Ellie." I correct him. "She doesn't like Lizzy."

"She's three, she doesn't know what she likes and dislikes." He scoffs. "Ellie, how bout you go play with Grandma lil, so me and your mum can talk." My dad says.

"Momma says not to call her grandma because she's a -" I cover my daughters mouth before she can say anything else.

"El, just go." I whisper. As soon as she's picked up by Lillian, I turn back to my father. "Look I didn't mean for you to find out this way." I try to explain, but I can see the look on my dad's face. He's not having it.

"Avery I had to find out that the father of my grandchild, is the son of one of my closest mates. I found that out from the computer! Not even from my daughter! Who are you Avery-Rose?" He demanded.

"Daddy I'm still your little girl! I've just made bad decisions!" I scream back.

"No. You've made stupid decisions, Avery-Rose. Apparently that's all you kids no how to make. And look where that lead Alice." He says. As soon as the words leave his mouth, I lost it. He doesn't have a right to talk about her that way.

"Don't you dare! Alice got in that car because of you! Alice was upset because of you! You basically killed your own daughter!" I scream, he goes to say something but I cut him off. "I'm not finished. I've spent my entire life trying to please you, being that good little girl and I have no idea why! And sure we've made some stupid decisions, who do you think we learned it from? We watched our dad cheat on our mother while mum was dying! And you know what makes it worse? The fact that we didn't hear about this from you. Oh no. Me, four moths pregnant, and seventeen years old, walked in on you sleeping with some blonde haired bitch!" I yell, finishing up.

"Avery-Rose, you can't turn this around on me." Is all he tells me.

"I tried to be the bigger person but You know what dad, I'm done. Take a good look at your granddaughter, because you won't be seeing her in a while. " I spit and storm out of the room.

"Elizabeth." I call. Soon Ellie comes out into the den with a paper in her hand, probably a craft she did.

"Momma mad at me?" Ellie says. "You never call me that name." She frowns.
