My week of getting around Sydney went by faster than I thought it would. Sadly it was time for me to go to school for my junior year. Jared was a senior now which meant he was to cool for his little sister.
But for the sake of his social life I can not blame him for that. Oh well not like I wanna follow my brother around anyways. I walked around my room in search of something to wear. Unlike most girls I like to find my clothing last minute.
Settling on a ripped pair of skinny black jeans, a Jack Daniels singlet with a black tank-top under it, and my pair of tattered combat boots I quickly changed.
I groaned as I hurried to curl my black and blue locks. When it was finished I threw on some shadowy eyeshadow with some black eyeliner and mascara. I never worried about perfecting my make-up. There was no reason too.
Slinging my backpack in to well.. My back I made my way down the stairs. I got to the bottom before groaning and running back upstairs, grabbing my phone and headphones.
Mom was going to drive us for this first week until we got used to things. When I got downstairs I noticed they were already waiting for me in the car. I slipped on my quarter sleeved leather jacket and headed out. I hopped into the back seat since Jared big ass had taken up the passenger seat. I glanced in the rear view mirror, examining myself.
I wasn't much. Brown eyes. Black hair that lead into blue ends. I have 5 tattoos starting at my wrist. I got grounded for a month and 4 weeks because of them, bust honestly? It was worth it. I have to infinity on one wrist & and beyond on the other.
I also have 11/16 on the back of my neck Roman numerals. The last one I got, which is the one my parents first saw, was a feather on my collar bone which falls into small birds.
When they found that one I was forced to show them my others. Since I was grounded I thought, what the hell, and got the Celtic Cross on the small of my back. That is what lead to the 4 extra weeks.
It didn't take long for us to pull into the school parking lot. I stared at it, my heart racing before I slowly climbed out of the car, shutting the door with a simple "Love you." To my mom.
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. Si-
"Riley, come on." Jared groaned and my head snapped up to him. I bit my lip before following him into the new school. The main lobby was huge.
There was a statue of the school mascot in the corner which was solituded by a red velvet rope. There were large marble columns which had random students leaning against them.
Everyone was talking and hugging. The constant, 'How was your summer?' And 'OMG I missed you so much!' Flying in every direction as I made My way into the main office. There were a couple other students there along with my brother.
I took a seat in the corner as I waited for my turn. It was silent until the door swung open, slamming against the stone wall as a man- who I assumed was a teacher- walked in. He was dragging a guy with curly blond/brown hair in.
A smirk was plastered on his face which revealed his deep dimples. He was obviously attractive. His lip was pierced and he arms were covered in tattoos. I mean covered. There wasn't one inch of skin that wasn't covered in ink.
He was pushed into a seat that was one away from mine. He kept quiet and slowly the office began to go back to how it was. "Ashton Irwin." The woman behind the desk sighed. "He'll see you know."
I inwardly groaned, he just got in here! One by one people began filling out of the office and I was the only one left. "Miss Saunders?" I glanced at the woman, standing up. "Just walk back there, it's the last door."
I thanked her before I slowly walked down the hall. As I made my way to the very last door I lifted my hand to knock only to have it pull open. I jumped, backing up and staring at the boy from earlier- Ashton? Yeah Ashton.
He stared down at my before scoffing hand making his way past. I rolled my eyes before walking into the Principals office.

The day was slowing to an end and as predicted I hadn't met one person. I was now sat in gym class, playing on my phone. We were all sat up in the bleachers.
I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned to see a small blonde girl. She was in a sweater and light skinny jeans with brown uggs over them. I pulled out my headphones and raised an eyebrow. "Sorry- but do you know the time?"
I glanced at my phone before telling her what time it was. We shared small talk and apparently we both just moved here. She was just from another part of Australia though. Her name is Izzy short for Isabella Next we had lunch and we had decided to sit together.
After getting our food we sat in a corner table. After eating in a comfortable silence a girl with extremely curly hair sat a seat away from Izzy. I let out a small laugh before speaking to her. "You can sit beside us."
She gave me a great flu smile before moving over a seat. "Thank you. I'm Kyden."
We sat and spoke, learning more things about one another. We were all transfers, but Kyden had been here for the last week of last year. She had just moved here from South Africa. We were all the same year.
When the final bell rang I went out front to wait on my mom. Luckily they had the first day on a Friday which gave me the whole weekend to think over the recent events.
I hurried into the back seat, wanting to avoid an argument over the passenger seat with Jared. When the door finally opened he peaked his head in. "Hey Diana.. Could I have a friend over tonight?" Of course.
Jared had no problem making friends. He was definitely the popular one out of the two of us. My mom sighed before nodding at him. The door on the opposite side of the car opened and tattooed covered arms moved inside the car. Shit.
