"You told me you have an extra class you horse, are you skipping class again ?"
I stare at Hoseok as he eats the fish burger next to me. His eyes crinkling at the side as he laughs, his lips stretch to a small smile, trying not to laugh louder than that. "Yah Jung Hoseok !"
He looks at me and I sigh. "You know that you can always go back to school now right? I mean like, I'm okay, you don't need to skip your extra class. We are gonna sit for SAT you hoe."
"You're not the only one who will get MC you know, I will be here as your guardian."
"Stop being that cheesy bitch. You didn't actually forget about my meds do you ?" And his eyes widened.
"Holy f- I forgot that I gave it to Jimin, wait, don't tell me that he stay for extra class ?" There's guilt on Hoseok's face and I could just laugh.
"As long as you buy me everything I want to eat today, I'm okay without those meds." He smiles and hit the back of my head before running away with my backpack.
"Aish, once a hoe always a hoe. Yah you brat !"

It's 6.30 p.m and it's going to get dark soon. My eyes wander around and a sigh left my lips. The street is quiet busy, people wandering around with chores, some of them from school, some of them from their workplace. My eyes landed on Hoseok, his excited face makes me laugh. He looks at me and smile, and his smile warm my insides, there's small tingling feeling at the core of my heart.
Hoseok. A name that is now a part of my life. We met since we were two years old. People said that the smallest things in your life that you encounter during your childhood can easily vanish from your memory but for my case. I couldn't. I still remember how our small hand touched each other's palm when both our parents squealing behind us. Those cheers make the small June smile and push the small Hoseok away, causing the boy to fall. And yes, his cries was the only vivid thing that I can remember.
I grow up with Jung Hoseok, the second son of Jung's family. He was not an awkward boy but he was scared of everything. From small things like a spider until big things like a bear. I find that adorable. But being Jung Hoseok, nobody dares to make fun of him. We have so many similar things in common and that is how I'm able to stand a hoe like him.
17 years, that's a really long time. Long enough until Hoseok is now, 5 feet 10-inch guy with a really beautiful smile that everyone adores. You must have thought something like, have June ever fall in love with him, I mean like god it's Jung Hoseok. Yeah, guys, I did. But I pushed those feelings away because I always remind myself that Hoseok is my best friend and I can never love him differently, that's just not us and I believe Hoseok also does not want our friendship to turn into something else, it is better like this, just friends.
"Junie, look, I didn't know that the sunset here is pretty." I follow where his finger pointing at and as I faced the place, I smile. It's beautiful, how the blue sky painting some violet and a dash of pink. Our neighborhood is just in front but we just froze here, looking at the beautiful sky. "You know, I wish you didn't have to be my best friend." I looked at Hoseok and he looks back at me softly. "I wish you're my girlfriend from the start." I didn't know how to react so I just bite my lips and cracked an awkward laughed. "God Hoseok, did you just confess to me?" I'm still laughing when I caught a glimpse of his face fallen to a sad smile. But he laughed after that, grabbing my hand and wrapped it in his big one before smacking my head. "What the fuck was that for, you horse ?" He is still laughing and I just went along, laugh with him.
