It's night. The Bat-Signal is lightning the sky. There is standing Batman, looking at it. Then he dives and starts heading to GCPD.
Gordon is talking to his daughter, Barbara, when he turns and sees Batman standing still, waiting for the latest cases. "Sorry, gotta' go. Stay safe Barbara" says Gordon. He doesn't know that she is in the Clock Tower, helping Batman when she can.
"Long night, Jim?"
"Yeah... After what happened to her, I always check on her..."
Then he gives Batman a case:
"This one came this morning."
Batman opens it and starts reading.
"It is not a big deal, but we are redecorating the Precinct."
"I'll look into it."
Gordon turns his back and says:
"Thanks... You know.. maybe we-"
He looks back. Batman is gone.
"Every damn time."
