You stride down the corridor, looking around cautiously. Whoever this is, has to pay. As you turn a corner, more gunshots echo down the halls. Slowing your pace, you follow the sound, hunting out the voice that calls for you. As the voice gets louder, you break into a wobbly run, determined to find the voice.
"Come out wherever you are!" It calls to you. You pant, running getting too overwhelming for you. Slowing to halt, you turn one last corner, facing a shadow.
"Ah, you're here." It calls.
"Who are you, and what do you want with me and my friends?" You call in reply, panting for composure.
"Why, I'm your worst nightmare, darling." Your reply explains.
"Name. Now!" You growl, demanding answers.
"Why, don't you recognize me?" It replies. "Hasn't Tae told you about me? I'm sure he showed you a picture!" A silence fills the air. "I'm his ex." She replies, stepping from the shadows. You spot her face, gasping. "And your Best Friend. Or rather... EX-Best Friend." You stagger backwards.
"No... Not you! It can't be you!" You gasp. You turn, running back down the corridors you came from. A bullet whistles past your ear, causing you to swerve from it. You speed up, racing down the halls as fast as you can, desperate to find a weapon to use. Flying down the stairs, you reach the first floor, panting. Racing down about ten flights of stairs isn't a wise idea. Bursting through the double doors leading to the reception, you find the deserted reception room. You leap over the desk, panting as you rifle through cupboards. The third cupboard holds a crowbar. The rest come up empty, only paperwork. You open the last cupboard, praying for a miracle.
A safe.
You find the lock area, grabbing a crowbar you found earlier and slamming the door. It opens slowly, causing you to keep hold of hope. Flinging it open, A handgun greets you. You grasp it, checking to see if it is loaded. Full. Yes!
Standing up, you hold the gun out in front of you, trembling. A face pops up, smiling.
"Ah, I guess you are at only a slight disadvantage now. Fantastic." She yells in 'glee'. Gulping, you walk from behind the desk, keeping your eye trained on her. She steps towards you, grinning. "So, now should be the part where I kill you, right? Isn't that how the fairy tale should end? The villain being defeated?" You growl quietly.
"You're the villain! You came after me because of what, an ex-boyfriend? Your sick!" You yell.
"TAE WAS MINE!" She roared. "AND YOU TOOK HIM FROM ME!" You shake your head.
"I didn't take him from you. You must have driven him away. I didn't cause your break up." You calmly reply, causing her to get more frustrated.
"YOU DID!" She screamed. "And now, you'll pay for what you did." She smirked. You spot her finger move to the trigger, causing you to close your eyes and shoot. The next moment, you feel a pain in your stomach. You look up, watching her fall to the floor. She looked dead but you weren't sure. You look to the source of pain, holding your hands to it, and bringing away blood. Gasping for air, you fall back to the floor, frantically trying to stop the blood. Doors burst open opposite you.
"Tae..." You call weakly. He spots you, screaming as he rushes to your side.
"Y/N! Y/N, STAY WITH ME!" He shouts, looking to your hands. You spot the doctor at the doors, looking to you.
"Doc..." you murmur. "Help..." You call, beginning to feel light-headed. You lean into Tae's chest, panting. The doctor hurries to your side, beginning to tend to the wound. Tae cradles you in his arms, tears streaming from his face. You reach up, holding his face, as you softly sing.
'I heard
That you, settled down'
"No." Tae interrupts you. You continue.
'That you found a girl
And your married now'
"Never, Y/N." He weeps.
'I heard
That your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things
I didn't give to you.'
"Stop, Y/N." He pleads. You stop, looking to the doctor. She is frantically working. You hear Tae begin to sing.
'You know it all.
You're my best friend.

"Tae?" You ask.
"A new song for You Never Walk Alone. Please. Don't leave me. Stay with me." He begs, tears rolling still.
"I'll try. The song. It's beautiful." You tell him. He smiles softly.
"I'm glad you like it." He replies.
"We need to get her to her room." The doctor interrupts. Tae nods, looking around and spotting a bed. He points to it, and the doctor retrieves it. You feel weightless as Tae helps the doctor move you to the bed. You watch Tae as you move into the lift, and to safety. You look back at the body of your Ex-Best Friend and the two guns as the lift doors close, encasing you in safety.
