Meeting Her

The windows are dark, hinting that it is still night time, the ceiling a white cream color. There is a door to the left and on the ground underneath me is a red carpet with brown edges. A chair is isolated in the far corner of the room and the floor a light wooden surface. The whole room smells of pine and a candle on a table in the center of the room is the only light source.

I look around taking in the environment I am in and then turn around to see two little bowls that shine in the candles light. Moving closer to the bowls I find one to be filled with water and the other filled with a sort of bread with a few pieces of meat and a cracker. "Well its not great but its better than not having any food or water at all" I laugh a little before sitting in front of the bowls and start to eat. Not long after I finish eating I hear footsteps coming toward the door. "I wonder who that is?" I whisper to myself before hiding under the carpet. The door slowly creaks open and a voice calls out "My little neko where are you? I see you ate all your food you good girl!" Then the figure walks into the room and notices the lump under the carpet. Before I realize it the carpet is taken away and I am laying in a girls arms. "A-and you, your the one w-who saved m-me?" I ask somewhat stuttering. "Yes and my name is Lily its very nice to meet you, you have a lovely voice." She replies and still holding me she pats my head and asks what my name is. "My name is Firefly... my mommy and daddy died because of a fire and I have been staying in my box... Wait... Where is my box!?" I panic as the box is the only memory I have of my parents since I found it in their garage. "Don't worry Firefly, you just stay here and rest okay. Ill bring you your box okay." She replies. "Please bring my box back safely its the only thing I have left..." I say to her. She reassures me that my box will be back in the morning. I slowly drift off into slumber and Lily finds my box and puts me in it when she came back. "I love you my little Firefly" She kisses my forehead and turns the lights off.

In case you guys are wondering Lily has a "Motherly Love" for Firefly, nothing like romantic love.
