Chosen

I wake up in a metal cage alone with only a spotlight over the cage. In the shadows I can barely make out other neko figures in other cages. Two figures walk down a small corridor between the cages, at each cage they bend down to see inside then continue on to the next one. As they get closer I can make out that one is a girl and one is a boy, they seem to be about 17 in my opinion. As they come to my cage they stop, they talk a little bit about some sort of "perfect companion" and they bend over to look in my cage and I cover my face with my long sleeves, trying to hide from them. "Oh look at how cute it is... It's afraid of us." The girl laughs slightly as she says this. The boy asks to have a closer look and a guard comes and carries my cage into a bright white room. The guard tosses me out of my cage and shut the door. I lay there on the floor for a while until I hear a voice. "Hello my name is Lily, it's nice to..." I turn around quickly and she sees my face. "Firefly!?" She gasps and rushes to me and hugs me tightly. "Lily come on don't fall for that animal, she wont let me have any fun. She bit me last time i tried to play with her..." The boy says. "Victor you tried to do something perverted, she asked you to stop politely before she bit you so it's your fault!" "Whatever... If you really want that disaster then fine." Lily hugs me even tighter and it starts to hurt. I mew out a plea to stop and she does. "Sorry Firefly I just thought I would never see you again..." I smile slightly and she notices something on my ear. I tilt my head confused then she says. "Your ear is torn Firefly... are you okay?" I lower my ears down to my head feeling scared and sad at the same time. "Y-ya... i'm fine..." I say in a sad tone. "Okay now let's go, I bought her so she will have to obey me and if she doesn't... I have the right to do whatever I want with her." Victor smirks and turns to walk out the door. I look at Lily and she looks back at me. "Don't worry... i'll protect you Firefly. You'll always be in my heart..."
