* JACKS POV *

I stared up at the ceiling, trying to calm myself down. Everything was fine. I hoped it would stay fine. Mark hadn't woken up yet... but he should any minute. I requested us to share a room. I just tilted my head towards him. Oh he looked, terrible. I mean beautiful in my eyes... but in terrible shape.

"Jack?" I turned to my left, a figure at the door. It was Mary.

"Hi, Marks over there" I motioned my head towards him, I was unable to point.

"I know... I wanted to see how you were too." She smiled faintly at me "Listen, I don't know if Mark told you but I'm really sorry"

"Sorry about what?" A worried look came over her face. "Sorry about what Mary..." my tone was more persistent this time.

"Me and Mark may have kissed. But it didn't mean anything!"

I bet that's what Mark was trying to "be honest" with me about.

I just turned my head away from her. "Jack..."

"Don't, please don't. I don't want your pity. When did this happen?"

"Um, I don't really recall the date. But he said it was after the wedding rehearsal when he came for the scan."

"The scan?"

"That's how we knew it was a girl. We talked to the doctor, found out the gender, and I recommended a name. Ellie"

Even the name wasn't his idea...

"Oh, well it was just a kiss. Nothing more." Her head hung in shame.

"Maybe a slight make out session. He told me it was wrong, I was persistent I'm sorry. Mark didn't have anything to do with it-"

"Stop, he did do it. He wouldn't have gone along with it." She shook her head "He acted like nothing happened that night..." I whispered as I shook my head.

I fucking trusted him. I knew some shit like this would happen. I new somewhere deep in me, but I loved him too much to admit it.

"Jack?" I heard Mark whisper. "Oh Jack..." I looked down at him, ran my fingers through his hair. I was finally able to walk... although the pain was unimaginable. I needed to be near Mark though.

"Hiya markimoo" a smile spread across his face.

"Were ok?" I nodded

"Were ok."
