A short story I wrote in Language Arts yesterday:

The day had been long and depressing, but I was angry all the same. First my boyfriend,  Tony had broken up with me at school, saying: "He met someone else!" After that I'd pretty much ran to the  nearest girls bathroom to bawl my eyes out (and put fresh makeup on). I'd gone to tell my best friend, Angela about the situation, after a while of wandering around the halls I found her with her tongue down my now ex-boyfriend's throat.

That was when I lost it, I marched right up to them, fresh tears streaming quickly down my face. People turned to stare at me as I shoved past them. When I reached Angela and Tony I ripped her off of him then screamed in her face. "How could you?! I thought we were friends!"

She opened her mouth to say something but before she could I said, "don't, save it for someone who has time to hear your lies." With that I turned, gave Tony a dirty look and stormed out of the school.

I stormed home angrily all the while thinking I should've seen it coming. As soon as I reached my house (and unlocked the door and all that kinda stuff), I ran up the cream carpeted stairs and into my room. Then I closed my bedroom door and flopped into bed. I grabbed the headphones that were on the bedside table beside me. I plugged them into my phone, went to my music and pressed shuffle. Tears still streamed down my face and my eyes were probably red and puffy, luckily no one was home to see. My favourite song (Welcome to The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance) played but the voice inside me sung a different song. This song is The Sound Of Silence by Disturbed. The lyrics Hello Darkness My Old Friend repeated in my head again and again.
