Previously in Ch. 5: After getting hospitalized by Got7, Cho Hee is sent to LA by her uncle; but with Jackson, Mark, and JB accompanying her. There, she sees someone familiar and gets the slight attention from someone....
Ahhhh... The fresh smell of California air. And the bright heat of the California sun. I thought as I looked up to the sky. "You good? It's been awhile huh?" Mark asked me.
"Yeah. Even though its only been a couple of months, I already missed this place." I told him. We had just arrived in California. After managing all my papers in the academy, we immediately went here so I could start training. I was really excited and couldn't sleep at all in the plane.
"Cho Hee! Your eyes are so red! Did you not sleep or something?" Jackson blurted out of nowhere. I just nodded, still looking tired and sleepy as we walked to the van.
"Then lets hurry to the apartment so you can get some sleep." JB said. Awh I feel slightly touched. How considerate of him. ~^_^~
~
"Ooo it looks so nice! I like it already!" I woooed at the really nice apartment set for us by my uncle. "Ofcourse, your uncle only wants the best for you." Mark said. I smiled happily as I went around the apartment.
There were 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen, a living room, and 3 bedrooms. "Wait, does this mean we all get our own rooms?" I asked.
"Well, Jackson and I are sharing a room so JB and you both your own rooms." He said as he carried their things to the room and the far left. "Yes!" I yelled happily as I grabbed my bags to go to the room on the far right.
After settling down and unpacking our things in our rooms, we sat down on the table in the kitchen. JB informed me of how my schedule is going to be, house rules, and my diet plan, blah blah blah and then went on to say that I have to stick to these strict rules, but that he can let a few snacks go at certain times. I was really touched and I wanted to hug him cause I cannot live without midnight snacks.
After that long talk, we agreed that we should go out and have fun on our first day since we dont have anything to do. So I grabbed my phone and my wallet since thats all I'll be needing.
We didn't have a car to use so we decided to just walk to the little plaza close to the apartment. There were lots of vendors on the street and many of them either sold food, clothes, or accessories. I found a booth where they sell cute little key chains.
"Waaaah! This is so cute!" I looked at a little panda keychain. Suddenly, I got a great idea. "Hey! Why dont we all pick a keychain? I'll pay for them as a thank you coming with me here." I told JB, Mark, and Jackson.
Mark and Jackson immediately looked at each other and practically ran to get the keychain with a dude on a snapback doing a cartwheel. Aigoo, these martial arts freaks.
Meanwhile, I had my eyes set on a panda keychain wearing headphones. JB was looking at a Bart Simpson® keychain and was deciding whether to get the skateboarding one or the regular one.
"You should get the regular one" I told him. He muttered, "What do you know" and immediately turned to look at me and said "Sorry!" for like, the 5th time today.
I just waved my hand telling him its fine. "Did you guys choose yet?" I asked everyone.
Mark ended up getting a pikachu keychain and let Jackson have the martial arts one. JB got the Bart Simpson keychain and I got the panda keychain. The total was $25 which was actually cheaper than I expected.
After we paid, we stopped at an ice cream booth. I got a strawberry banana ice cream while they all got chocolate. I stood up to go throw something away when JB asked me, "Where are you going?" I was a little surprised. Since when did he care about me?
"I'm just throwing something away" I said. As I was on my way to the trash can, I saw someone awfully familiar. He was wearing a cap and mask but I could totally tell by his eyes who it was.
"Chanyeol? Chanyeol!" I called him. He looked up frightened and rushed to me. "Be quiet! I dont want the fans to know I'm here!" He told me. Oh crap I totally forgot that he was an idol.
I was about to say sorry when he grabbed me by my wrist and took me near the fountain. "How are you? What are you doing here in LA?" He asked me while I took a bite of my melting ice cream.
"I'm going to be a trainee! My uncle sent me here so I can learn more about dancing and all that stuff" I told him. He looked excited. "You're going to be a trainee? Jjinjja? Waah. So cool Cho Hee. What about the academy?" Awh he even remembered the academy!
"Its fine they told me I can continue studying even after I debut." I told him. I could tell that some fans are already starting to gather around. It's really not hard to notice him. He's wearing his signature bear mask and his signature jacket. Also, he was tall.
"Awh man. Looks like people are starting to recognize me. Man I wish I could talk to you more. I hate that I always have to leave you." He told me. "No No its fine! We can always talk next time. I'm sure I'll see you around." I reassured him.
I took his sunglasses and put it on him. Then I patted him on the back as a signal that he should go. He waved to me as he left and I waved back at him. Then I walked back to where everyone was.
~Meanwhile back at the ice cream booth~
"Omo, who's that guy she's looking at?" Jackson said while pointing to where Cho Hee was. JB looked in the direction and saw Cho Hee run to the guy. The guy was tall and had a black cap and bear mask.
"Is it just me or does he look like an idol?" Mark said. JB just stayed quiet as he stared at them. Suddenly the guy grabbed Cho Hee by the wrist and took her to the water fountain. "Hyung! Shouldn't we stop him?"Jackson stood up.
"It's fine. She probably knows him." JB said, even though he was a bit curious as to who this guy was.
They finished their ice cream and looked back at Cho Hee and the guy. A few girls have started to gather around them. Cho Hee took the guy's sunglasses and gently put it on him. Then she patted his back as a signal for him to go.
"Wow. I didnt know Cho Hee had friends like that. I wonder if they're really just friend." Jackson blurted. JB stood up, crumpled his cup, and threw it away.
"Let's go. We gotta head back to the apartment. JYP-nim said she has to wake up at 6 tomorrow and we have to accompany her." JB told them, as Cho Hee started walking back towards them.
~Back to Cho Hee's POV~
"Who was that guy Cho Hee?" Jackson asked me. I didnt know they were watching me.
"Its a friend of mine. You know him right? Chanyeol from Exo?" I told them. Jackson's eyes widened. "Chanyeol? You know Chanyeol?" He asked me, a little surprised. I could tell the others were also surprised, except that JB was just looking away as if he wasn't interested.
"Yeah. We met back in the academy." I said. Suddenly JB cleared his throat, interrupting the conversation. "Let's go. It's starting to get dark." He said. He seemed a little grumpy, or was it just me?
We walked back to the apartment and settled down all the other things we bought. Everyone seemed tired, including me so we all just headed in to our rooms.
But before I headed in my room, I saw my panda keychain in front of the door. Oh! Did I drop it? I thought I put it on my bag? Oh well. I picked it up and went in my room. But I wonder, who put it there?
