"What?" I said. Confusion spreaded through me.

"Fine." He said turning again. Desperation replaced the confusion.

"No! Stop! I'll do it!" I screamed out in desperate cry.

He smiled at me brightly when he turned back.

"Good." He said happily, kissing me through the bars again.

I kissed him back with a fiery passion only desperation can cause. He pulled back and whipped a tear away from my cheek. He pulled me in, whispering in my ear. I stood there in shock and he left.

I knew he was still mine. I turned and sat in the corner. No he wasn't mine. He had a choice, he wasn't my posession. I was his. Why would he say that? Is all I could think about. I wept in that corner. Afraid to turn, for I might see Connor, or worse, Charlie. How could I ever explain?

"Lexi?" Why do these things always happen to me? I stayed put, refusing that I'd heard him.

"Are you crying?" I rammed my lips together, refusing to proove him right. But the shudder I let out confirmed it.

"Lexi, look at me." I turned towards the soft voice. "Baby..." He said quietly.

"Danny!" I cried out finally, rushing to the door. His eyes were filled with such sadness, it was unbearable.

"Guards!" He called. My eyes widened. What!?! Was he ratting me out? For what, I don't know, but with my luck now a days, I wouldn't be surprised. A guard came running.

"What's the problem?" He asked, red faced. Danny nodded to the door. My heart lept into my throat.

"Open the door." He said. I let out a relieved breath I didn't know I was holding.

The guard looked confused. "Why?"

"Because if you don't, you'll have to deal with me and my buddies." He snarled.

"Is that a threat sir?" He asked reaching for his buton.

"No. That's a promise." He said, pointing back. The guard looked over Danny's shoulder, his face lighten by fear. He quickly opened the door, fumbling with the keys.

"Thank-you." Danny said in a sweet voice. When the door was open, Danny walked in. He waved the guard off, who reluctantly left, giving one last glance to where Danny had stood.

"Baby..." He said again. The shock of what happened wore off, and the memories returned. I broke down in sobs and cried, "Danny..." again. He came forward, wrapping his arms around me, letting me cry to my hearts intent. We stayed like that for a while before he pulled away. I felt like I was losing a part of me. He held me by the shoulders and looked into my eyes. His eyes were so beautiful, a clear hazel that made them look gold rimmed.

"Someone wants to see you." he said with a smile.

"Who?" I asked, wipping tears away.

"Hi Lexi..." Charlie walked through the door. My heart lept to my throat again. He was here. With me. Butterflies danced in my stomach. No. He couldn't be. I couldn't talk to him.

"No. I can't. Make him leave Danny." I cried, sobbing again. I hide behind Danny, holding him tight. The hurt in Charlie's eyes broke me. He looked vunerable. Something slipped down his cheek. He turned sharply, leaving quickly.

"Lexi?" Danny asked. I shook my head.

"I can't." I said through sobs.

"Why?" He asked. There was a sharp edge to his tone.
