Chapter 2: Surreal

Waking up in the school's clinic, Alex rises up from the bed.  "Ergh.. What happened?" Alex asked curiously as he has no idea how he got there. "You seriously don't remember? Wow.  For someone as wise as you, you seriously can't remember?"  JT replies to him in a sarcastic tone. "Shut it and just tell me." Alex was irritated. "You passed out, haha!" Tyler laughs at Alex for he had a simple answer. "Seriously?" Annoyed, Alex went out of the clinic and decides to walk it off and just let the fresh air cool him down a bit. "Why did that happen? Why was my head suddenly in pain? Some questions I just can't seem to answer.." He ponders as he walks around the campus. He meets Belle along the way. "Hey, are you feeling better?" She asks in a sweet tone. "U-Uhm.. Yeah! I'm uh- feeling better a-already! H-Haha!" Alex answers nervously. 

  Unsure what might happen to him, Belle thanks him for all that he did for her when she was in desperate need. He was there to comfort her when she was feeling down. "Thank you so much, Alex. I owe you one." Belle gives a gesture of politeness. "W-Wha? Haha, that was nothing really! Besides, when someone goes through something THAT tragic they should at least deserve comfort and help." Alex replies humbly to Belle's thanks. "I noticed something.. You've changed." Belle points out. "What do you mean?" Alex curiously asks. "The way that you're talking to me.. It's changed. You would be normally jumpy, haha!" Belle stated. "WHA-?! I-I'M NOT J-JUMPY!" Alex corrects her but fails anyway.  "What do you think might have caused you to pass out anyway?" Belle questions the incident. "I don't know really.. I just sort of passed out!" Replied Alex. "Hm, I hope you're going to be fine! Haha, see you later!" Belle goes on her way.

Alex suddenly felt a sense he has never felt before. A sense to save someone. Coincidentally, along the way, Belle is going to fall off a ditch while she is focusing on her phone. Alex went fast and stopped Belle from going any further. "W-Wait! A ditch! *pant*" He catches his breath and warns Belle. "W-Whoa! I wouldn't have seen that.. T-Thanks I guess?" Belle's grateful to him. "Just try to put your mind on the way next time haha.." Alex reminds Belle. When he finally reached home, he had a strange feeling. He looked at his mirror and says "Am I even okay?" He runs the faucet and washes his face thoroughly then peeks at the mirror again and then.. He saw in his reflection the sister of Belle, Cathy and he thought she was haunting him. " WAH! Please! Go away! Ahhh!" He screams out in terror. "What? No. I was trapped inside you after I supposedly, died!" Replied Cathy. "Wha-? So.. You're a ghost then?" Alex questioned the existence of Cathy. "N-No! I must be going insane.. Ah! This is just a dream from that time I passed out! Wake up!" He denies reality. "This IS real, Alex!" Cathy confirms everything, and with that, Alex passes out once again.

Alex wakes up in his bathroom, tired and confused. "Ah, maybe that dream is over!" he screams out. "Nope, you're wrong." Cathy replies and shocks Alex. "Whaaa! So you ARE real!" Alex exclaims. "What have I been telling you the whole time! Grr! If I could slap you, I would!" Cathy furiously replies to Alex. "I'm sorry! I just cannot seem to think and imagine something this.. Surreal  to happen in my life." Alex apologizes to the furious Cathy. "*Sigh* It's okay. All I want to know is what actually happened and how did I get here?" Cathy sadly tells Alex the situation she is in. "Well, can anyone else see you?" Alex asks Cathy the ominous question. "Hm, let's find out." Cathy agrees to Alex and goes out of the bathroom while bringing a mirror with them. "Let's see if my mom can see you.." Alex smirks. "Hey mom! Can you see anything on my reflection?" he asks his mom. "All I see is an ugly elephant. Go and wash the dishes!" His mom yells at him. "So I guess that confirms it?" Alex tells Cathy, who is inside the mirror. "You must have a third-eye or something similar, I guess." Cathy suggests. "Well, I suppose we have one more way to know how we got into this mess.. The internet." Stated Alex.

"So what should we exactly look up?" Cathy asks Alex a question. "Haha! That's easy! You just have to type in the situation you are in! *Typing* 'Spirits combine after death' done!"Alex types in his search bar and has a lot of results coming from different websites. "What?! There's too much websites and pages about this! How are we gonna which one is ours?" Cathy begins to lose hope. "I guess we'll have to do it the hard way.. Click on every link that relates to it!" And so, the search for the truth began, seconds, minutes and hours passed by and none of the links seem to correlate to their situation. "There's gotta be at least one link that gives us the answer!" Cathy says. "At this point, I'm starting to lose all of my hope too." Alex tiredly says so. Until they came upon one link. They clicked on it and there, they found their answer.
