Chapter 28

HARRY'S POV

"What? Thats not possible." I say to the girl sitting next to me claiming she is the twin of the woman I love.

"I know it sounds crazy but I have done all the research and I found out I had a twin sister with the last name of Jensen, but I never knew her first name. It all makes sense now! I can't believe she was right here all along. I cant't wait to meet her!" Carrina's face is beaming like a kid on Christmas morning.

"Kris never mentioned anything about a twin." I still don't think its true. A coincidence, maybe. But otherwise its way too damn ironic.

"Thats because our aunt Sarah only wanted one child because she wasn't ready for kids. So they gave her one twin, Kris, and sent me to an adoption agency. We were separated at five months old, how could we have known?" Carrina says.

"It just doesn't make sense." I shake my head. Its the middle of the fucking night and Carrina can't just drop this on me.

"What doesn't make sense Harry?"

Thats the problem. It does make sense. Everything she is saying adds up and thats what scares me. The woman I am madly in love with and is going to have my baby, is twin sisters with my stalker ex girlfriend. I don't want this to be true. It would be so shocking and so much stress on Kris. Unneeded stress.

"I need proof." I say.

"Okay go get your proof but facts are facts. Kris is my sister."

"I'm going to go to the police station and get some information. Gemma is asleep in her room, go occupy yourself." I take a deep breath and stand from the couch and make my way to the door.

"I don't want you to hate me Harry." Carrina says as I put on my jacket.

"If this is true, you realize you need to stop stalking me right? No matter what I am going to be a dad now, well I kind of already am a dad, and you need to stop thinking that we are gonna eventually be together because we will never be together." She takes a step back.

She looks as if my words have hurt her and she flinches. I don't want to be a mean guy, but its true. She can't keep waiting for me, especially if I am with her sister.

"What kind of girl chases after her future brother in law?" She half smiles and I give her a half smile appreciating her attempt of saying she will back off.

I nod my head to Carrina and walk out the door.

"So can you do it or not?" I say to Liam after explaining the situation.

"You want me to look up all file records on Kris and Carrina to try to pair their backgrounds together?" He says.

"Yes." I confirm.

"Okay I will put their names into the system. It will take some time but it will be done."

"Thanks this means a lot." I say patting my best friend on the shoulder.

He's a good guy, even if he dates my sister.

"I can come by your apartment when I'm done and give you the files. Will you be home? It should be done in about an hour."

"Yea i'll be there." I say.

"Will Gemma be there?" He asks.

"Yea she's fast asleep in her bed right now but you can wake her up when you get there." I keep forgetting its the middle of the night. I'm lucky Liam works weird hours at the station.

"Okay Harry see you in a little bit."

"Thanks again Liam."

He nods his head and I turn around opening the large glass doors and walking onto the streets of the busy city. No matter what time it is there are always people out and about. It really is the city that never sleeps.
