j...

you were cute today

you sound like such a stalker

still, you were cute. I'm sorry about yesterday.

stop apologizing, I'm the one who blew up

doesn't matter. you deserve to know more. it's been a month already believe it or not. I was expecting you would have found out sooner.

so you're going to tell me?

no.

fuck you

everly I will give you one clue a day for the next week. if you don't figure it out by the end of the week then you never will. deal?

deal

clue one. now.

demanding aren't we? well here goes

the last time we spoke was on the night of Valerie's party.

that was a year ago. why are you just now messaging me?

that doesn't matter. do you have any ideas now as to who I am?

well, that was a big night. one I'd prefer to forget. The.. thing that happened to me that night, was that you?

no, dear god no

...

but I will admit something

everly?

okay.. goodnight then

Everly tossed her phone aside, crawling up into a ball on her bed. Flashbacks threatened at the back of her mind and she tried her best to forget what had happened on that night. She didn't want to hear his confession just yet, she wasn't ready for it.

On the night of Valerie's party Everly was raped. She thought back to the moment some stranger offered her a drink. Why did she take it? Why did she down it in just seconds. Why? She could have politely denied and turned back to continue talking to her friend Jasmine.

A few minutes later Jasmine left to go talk to her boyfriend and not long after that Everly's vision started to darken. She fell to the floor before someone, most likely the same person who handed her a drink, helped her upstairs. She thought whoever this person was, was going to help her to bed, since she had assumed she drank too much.

Instead he had thrown her down, ripping off her clothes quickly and before she knew it, she had blacked out. She woke up feeling sore and it was obvious what had happened.

Everly let a few tears leak out. Her innocence was taken from her that night. She decided to not answer J just yet and cried herself to sleep.
