Brooke was wandering around outside the camp in the dark, "scouting". She was given that worthless job only because she was the youngest and the "baby" of her group. Suddenly, she heard wings flapping, she looked up to see a flock of birds carrying something that looked like human. As she was watching the birds, they flew down to the ground and dropped the person right next to the river at the bottom of a 10 foot bank.
"What the heck?" Brooke asked herself, looking down figure sprawled on the rocks below. It looked like a-
"GUYS! GUYS! I FOUND BOY!!!" She yelled, running back to her friends that were camped out several yards away.
"You found a what?" Marina asked, the oldest of the group.
"A BOY!!!" She yelled again, breathless.
"Show us." Marina said. Marina was always the leader, just because she was the oldest and apparently that made her the most responsible. As Brooke led Marina away, the others, Lilura, Destiny, and Alicia, also got up to see who this boy was and what he was doing so close to the camp.
"But you guys! You haven't had your s'mores yet!!!" Semora complained, but stayed to watch the camp. They ran past a decomposing log, dredged through a stream, and climbed up a pile of rocks.
"This better be good." Lilura panted. She was the "girly-girl". But when provoked, she was a deadly fighter, and not like cat-fight aggressive. But using her powers to their full potential, invading their minds and driving them mad until they killed themselves. She was a dangerous enemy, and a powerful ally. These girls, like many others, lived in a word where almost everyone had a supernatural ability. Such as, speed, invisibility, controlling the elements, shape-shifting, flying, and so many others.
"See? Look!" Brooke pointed at the boy on the ground ten feet below,"I was watching this flock of birds over there, " She pointed at tree nearby, " When they swooped down and dropped him right there." She pointed at the boy.
Lilura rolled her eyes,"Yeah, right. We totally believe you. Alicia, stop acting!" she yelled down to the boy.
"What are you talking about?" A voice said behind them. It was Alicia, the shape-shifter, who was infamous for playing pranks on them when she got bored. "I'm standing right here, what is it with you people and blaming me for stuff that I DIDN'T even DO. UGH."
"Wait.. What?" Marina stuttered,"Then who is that?"
"A boy!"Brooke said again, exasperated, "Why won't you guys listen to me? Look, I'll prove it!" She jumped down the bank to the rocks 10 feet below.
"BROOKE!!" Marina cried, scared of losing another member of the group. It was all her fault last time, and she didn't need more guilt. Before she hit the ground, Brooke used the water from the nearby river to catch her and it set her gently down right beside the boy. She knelt next to him and looked him over for injuries. He had cuts all over his back and neck, as well as a big bruise on the side of his head which was probably what knock him out, so he probably had a slight concussion.
"He's hurt!"She called back, "someone help me bring him back to camp."Although they were reluctant, Marina, Destiny, and Lilura jumped down and helped her carry the body back to their camp.
"What is this?"Semora exclaimed when they came into view, still holding the forgotten s'mores.
"A guy!" answered Alicia, so Semora wouldn't think she was pranking them again."He's hurt."
"What can we do?" Semora answered with concern in her voice, looking up a Marina.
"Ummm... Girls, set him down inside the Main Tent. Brooke, go fetch the Healing Kit. Lilura, warm up your powers and get ready to heal him." Marina started barking orders at the girls, giving each one a specific job and task.
