Everyone thinks that every cop is always risking their lives, every day, every second, and every minute. They're wrong. Some of us work the desks. The rows on rows on rows of desks. Like me. When you turn 15, you think you would become more alduterized, and you would experience new things. That's true. I just do it from the safety of my tiny, cramped, cubicle. Yeah, shaving is new, but that's not a pro, really. To be honest, I thought that my life would just carry on. That is until the Youth Division was created.

I sighed. I never thought I would ever be so nervous to walk into a board room. I've done it many times before. But I knew on the other side, this wasn't going to be just any meeting. This was a meeting to decide my future. I turn the knob, and the door opens smoothly. A wall of pressure hit me like a small island. I've been waiting for a position like this for months, and now is my chance. "Take a seat, Josh."

The director of our precinct, Amanda Leonard, gives me her famous eagle glare. I sit in one the fine leather seats. This was the board room that most of the important meetings took place in. I look around the room. 4 others were seated at the table. Two girls, and two guys. The girl on my right gave me a short glance and went back to her phone. The tall, skinny guy next to the butch looking guy spun a knife around in his hand. Awesome. The butch guy sitting next to the director held a .25 hollow point between his thumb and his index finger. He gave me a menacing glance, but then returned to whatever the hell he was doing with the bullet. The director's sharp tone broke the uncomfortable silence in the room. "You have all been called here because of 3 things. Your skill, your ability to act in the field, and..."

Her tone depth changed to a low voice, almost in disgust. "...your age."

I took a double take of everyone in the room. They were all around my age. "Now, you guys and girls are going to be working together for a while. Introduce yourselves."

The girl with the cell phone looked at me. Soon they all put their steely eyes on me. "H-hello, my name is Josh. I did data entry at the 96th precinct for 3 months, and I consider myself a good shot." My last fact piqued the interest of everyone in the room. The director slid a Beretta down the table. I checked the clip. Plastic BB's were loaded in the clip. 25 shots. The director pulled three dimes out of her jacket pocket. "Prove it"

She threw the coins in the air. I quickly aimed my gun at the dimes. I counted the sounds of metal on plastic in my head. In Japanese, for fun. 'Ichi, Nii, San.' The dimes hit the table with a loud, unnerving sound. The dimes had dents in them. The director nodded in approval. The girl sitting near the guy with the knife, spoke. "That was...amazing! How'd you do it?!" I blushed "P-practice." The girl next to me turned to face the director. "The name's Raven. Notorious white hat hacker, at your service." She did a little bow. The director nodded. She looked at the guy with the bullet. He sighed. "I'm Jason. I'm an explosives expert. I blow shit up. Yeah." Wow. That was short and sweet. The other girl went. "My name's...uh...Pyra. Pyra Yang. I can...um...beat people up with karate and stuff..." She leaves a lot to the imagination. Finally, the guy with the knife spoke. "The name's Mitch, but people call me-"

He was cut off by Raven. "The Tank"

He nodded. "Glad to see my reputation proceeds me"

The director spoke. "You guys will be forming the CIA's Youth Special Operations group. Codenamed: Think of something."

Mitch blurted out "The Pain Squad"

Raven said "The Teen Tita- wait, that's taken"

Pyra whispered "The youth group?"

Jason spoke "The Wrecking crew!"

I spoke after hearing them debate their names. "How about the Youth Division?"

They all stared at me. Then each other. Then me. Then each other. Then they nodded. Raven said in approval; "Good job, Quigs!"

"How do you know my last name?"

"I'm a hacker. I know EVERYTHING."

I'm scared of her now. "Alright, 'youth division'. Head down to the range. We got some stuff for you to...try on." I don't like where this is going. Like, at all.
