The Mysterious Hour

Chapter 10

Greycloud,Quietstream,and Owlfang gathered around the tree with the hawk's nest in it.
The hawk screeched and flapped its wings to threaten the cats.
Owlfang hissed and scrambled up the tree,not to close to the hawk's nest.
The hawk flew up to a higher branch as Owlfang climbed closer to the nest.
Greycloud stood at the bottom of the branch where the nest stood.
Owlfang padded carefully and closer towards the nest.
The hawk swooped down and grabbed Owlfang with its sharp talons.
"Owlfang!"yelled Greycloud and Quietstream.
The hawk flew up high into the sky with Owlfang.
Quietstream scrambled up the tree and leaped up towards the hawk and Owlfang.
"Careful!"yelled Greycloud as his eyes widened.
Quietstream sunk her teeth and claws into the hawk's skin.The hawk screeched and let go of Owlfang.
Owlfang yowled as he fell from the sky,his back facing the ground.
Greycloud ran towards where Owlfang was falling but before he could make it,Owlfang hit the ground.
Owlfang yowled in pain as his claws dug into the ground.
Quietstream ran towards Brokenface's den.
"C'mon,you'll make it."said Greycloud.
Brokenface and Quietstream as long as many other cats ran up to Owlfang.
"Owlfang broke his back!"said Brokenface as her eyes watered.
She placed her paw on his head.
"There's nothing I can do...."said Brokenface as her tears fell.
"You'll be paralyzed."she said again.
Owlfang's eyes widened as his eyes watered.
"That fox dung hawk!"hissed Greycloud.
Owlfang's eyes looked up at Brokenface.
"Thank you."said Owlfang with a weak voice and his eyes faded.
Brokenface flattened her ears and closed her eyes.
"Starclan is waiting for me."said Owlfang as he closed his eyes.
