"Who are you?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. Upon closer inspection, he was wielding a large sword. I ran to the tree monster, and managed to catch the fairy by her small hand. I tossed her into the air, and she flew back to the guy. "..." I put my hand on the Withered, and he relaxed, and trotted back to the forest. "Whoa..." The fairy said. "That was impressive! Did you see that, Cobalt?!" The fairy pestered. "Yes, I saw." He replied. "Let me ask you again. Just who are--", "...?" He paused mid sentence, and I raised an eyebrow. They were staring at my arm, or rather, the insignia on it. "Eden?" The fairy asked, flying towards me to try to get a closer look. "That can't be possible. I can tell that you aren't a bloodthirsty mercenary." Cobalt laughed. "But, The clan was annihilated years ago..." The fairy said. "I'm the last one left. My name is Wisteria." I said. "But I'm nothing like them." I said. "I can tell." The fairy looked at me with a smile. "Ahem, now then... I'm Sylvia! And this is Cobalt!" She smiled proudly, pointing to herself and the blonde haired male. Suddenly, we heard a lady giggling and applause. We turned back towards where the tree used to be, and saw a lady with long blondish-white hair, with bandages covering her eyes. She was wearing a rose-pink strapless dress, along with high heeled boots, and a small hat that was decorated with netted fabric, and artificial flowers. "Who's that?" Sylvia asked quietly. "I'm glad you asked. I am Vera." The lady responded. "And just in case you're wondering, yes, I am in fact blind. Instead of sight, I have enhanced hearing capabilities!" She did a little twirl. "I must say, you took down my minion rather quickly, not to mention that the situation was handled flawlessly." She laughed. "Minion?" I asked. "I created the illusion that the young man over there angered the Withered, but in actuality, it was one of my minions. The shadowborn." She grinned. "The shadowborn, huh?" Cobalt said, crossing his arms. "Precisely!" She said, as she twirled again.

"Precisely!" She said, as she twirled again

"Wait... You do what now?!" Cobalt stopped thinking of fighting and realized what she had said. "I said, I create the Shadowborn by stealing the soul of a human, and fusing it with their shadows. In other words, I make living shadow puppets from humans like us." She smirked. I slowly reached for my mask, ready to tear her to pieces. "No, that's a bad idea." Sylvia tapped my shoulder. "Indeed, small fairy." The woman laughed. "Now then, I would be glad to kick your mortal asses, but... I must get back to my daughter before she creates a void. Au revoir!" She said, walking away. "She's despicable..." I growled. "It would be a bad idea to start something, so let's just leave it be for now..." Sylvia sighed.
