NAGISING ako from a deep dream. Gosh. Ang panget ng panaginip ko. Nakaencounter ko daw yung may ari ng Madrigal Corp and it was not in a good way. Teka nasaan ba ako?
"You're awake."
Nagulat ako sa nagsalita. He's leaning at the door while looking at me. Hey, siya yung nasa panaginip ko-Holy ghost! So it wasn't a dream?!
I heard him laugh. Saka naglakad papunta sa kama kung nasaan ako. I immediately pulled the balnket to cover myself.
"Hey chill. Wala akong gagawing masama sayo." Saka siya prenteng umupo sa gilid ng kama.
"Pervert." I whispered na narinig niya naman.
"What? You have a nice cleavage and that's true." He said while laughing. Tinignan ko naman siya ng masama. Tumawa naman siya saka tumikhim.
"Look Eirene. I'm sorry for mistakenly bringing you here. I really thought you are what is her name again? Oh nevermind. Anyway, I'm sorry." He sincerely said.
Hindi naman ako nakaimik. What should I say then? Sorry too for what? Siya naman ang may kasalanan.
"And since, it was my fault. I will reschedule your interview when we came back." And then he smiled. I sighed. Ano pa nga bang magagawa ko?
"For now, let's eat. I'm starving. Ang tagal mong magising." Walang preno niyang sabi. Tumaas ang kilay ko na ikinatawa niya naman.
"Kiddin'. C'mon."
We went to a fancy restaurant. He said nag iisang kainan lang daw to since this is a small island. Konti lang din ang nagpupunta dito because it's exclusive. Besides, hindi pa naman totally summer.
I let him order for me since wala naman akong alam kung anong masarap dito. I just look around while waiting for our food. This place is really beautiful.
"And oh Miss Gonzales, I just wanna inform you that we still need to wait for a maybe a week before we can go back to Manila. Weekly lang kasi yung tranpo dito." Agad naman akong napatingin sa sinabi niya.
"What?"
"Yes. So I guess we just you know. Enjoy the whole week here then."
"P-Pero hindi pwede!" I said. Him and me? Staying here for a week? Hell no!
"Why? Besides, we can't do anything about it. That's the rule here and-"
"Pero-"
"Kahit magtanong ka pa kahit kanino dito, same answer you'll get. And as your future boss, you'll stay here-"
"But-"
"No more buts Eirene. Now let's eat." He authoritively said.
But.. I don't even have any luggage for goodness sake!
WALA na nga akong nagawa. I already asked the management about the transpo and they all said the same thing.
I deciced to sit down at the white sand near a tree. Medyo mainit na ang sikat ng araw kaya parang nag aaya yung beach. Ang kaso wala akong ibang damit maliban sa suot ko. Sayang!
I was savoring the moment when someone sit beside me. And it's Ross. I sighed.
"The beach is inviting. Tara let's swim." Aya niya. Hindi naman ako umimik. Bahala siya diyan. Siya may kasalanan ng lahat ng to e!
"Hey."
Inirapan ko naman siya. Leshe!
"Look. I already said sorry. What else should I need to do Eirene? Aside from bringing you home because I can't really do something about it." He sincerely said.
I sighed. Do I really have to stay here? But.. sighed.
"I'm really sorry. I promise I'll make it up to you when we get back."
"Stop kiddin' around. It's not funny." I seriously said.
"I'm not kidding. I'm serious." Napatingin ako sakanya and he's serious. I sighed. Narinig ko siyang nag ehem and wipe his hand then lend me.
"Uh.. I know we met not that good so hi I'm Ross. And you are?" He smilingly said with his eyebrows moving up and down.
Natawa naman ako. Ang presko talaga nitong tao to.
"Eirene." I said then tinanggap ko yung handshake niya. Ngiting wagi naman ang loko.
"Friends?" He asked.
"Friends? E my possibility maging boss kita. Remember? You'll resched my interview?"
"So what? And for your info, the people inside my company are my friends. Specially, girls." Napataas naman ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.
"Hmmm.. if I know they are your fling friends." Sabi ko saka binawi yung kamay ko.
"Sort of."
"Yabang." I whispered.
"What?"
"Wala. Maybe that girl you supposed to be with of yours? She's also working in your company?" I asked.
"Yeah. And I forgot what department she is." Sabay kamot sa ulo. Napailing naman ako. Babaero.
"So we're friends?" Ulit niya. I just nod. Hindi naman magpapatalo to e.
Wala ng umimik samin. We just both look at the beach which is still inviting.
"This place is really beautiful. If I just knew this will be this worth it to try, I already did before." He said. Still looking at the beach.
"You mean, this is your first here? Weh?" I asked suspisciously.
"Yeah. Actually, that girl set this vacation. I just agreed since I want to have a leave for a while. You see, the company is kind a stressing. Add Dad that wants me to get married like it's not that easy as hell." He long-said. I didn't utter a word and just listen.
"And that thing happened. I mean, I mistakenly get you here. Thinking you are her. Well, I just got excited for the supposed to be romantic nights-"
"Pervert!" Putol ko sakanya. Manyak talaga.
"What? I'm just being honest." He said laughing. Natawa nalang din ako kahit iniirapan siya.
"Tara swimming tayo." Sabi niya saka tumayo.
"Ha? Ayoko. Ikaw nalang." Iiling palang sana ako ng biglang niya akong buhatin.
"Ahhh-Ross! Put me down!"
Tumawa lang siya ng tumawa at patakbong pumunta sa dagat. Napatili ako ng todo ng mabasa ako.
"See? Ang sarap nga maligo oh." Saka ako winisikan. Ginantihan ko nga.
"Sino ba may sabing hindi?"
"E bakit ayaw mo?" He's floating.
"As far as I know, you just pulled me to get here without having any luggages Mr. Madrigal." I said.
"Then we will buy some." Saka ako winisikan ulit and swim away. Hinabol ko naman siya para makaganti. Maybe he's right. We just enjoy the moment instead.
