LOUIS POV

She left. My mind was blank. I wasn't expecting her to react this way, I should say, I'm impressed. I've never encountered a girl who would slap me for kissing and retaliating. Impressive!

The last time, when I asked her to submit her resignation letter, she was ready to do so. This suggests she might do the same thing again. A notification beeped on my computer, and it was Elsa; she had sent her resignation via email.

I swiftly rose and proceeded towards her office, only to find her absence. Hastening to the elevator, I witnessed its descent. I entered the emergency exit, to catch her before she left the building.

Noticing people entering the elevator upon reaching the ground floor, I scanned the surroundings and spotted her nearing the building's exit. Hastily, I sprinted and clasped her hand, eliciting a surprised look from her. Communicating proved challenging as I struggled to catch my breath, breathing heavily. Choosing the stairs had been a bad idea.

"Leave me," she said, and now the people around us were staring at us.

"I- Le- let's have a conversation," I stammered, still gripping her hand tightly.

"Let go of my hand," she attempted to pull it away but was unable to.

"I insist, let's talk."

"I don't want to talk. I want you to release my hand. If you don't, I will scream for help." I snorted immediately.

"I won't let go. Shout as much as you want, no one will come to your aid." I glanced at the onlookers, who were now fixated on us.

"If anyone dares to approach, I will ensure that your life becomes more miserable than anyone else's in the world." Uttering those words, I guided her towards the elevator, our hands still entwined. As the elevator doors closed, I relinquished my grip on her hand and positioned myself in front of her, blocking her way.

"I emailed my resignation. I want to leave, move your hands now," she declared, gazing at me.

"You're not going anywhere. I won't accept your resignation. I expect you to return to work."

"I don't want to work with you."

"You can't resign. Unlike others, you weren't selected through the interview process. Your resignation can only be decided by me or Uncle James." She fell silent, avoiding eye contact, and I noticed her pupils dilating. I glanced back and saw the lift door was open, and the tech guy was observing us.

"Mr. Manson, take the stairs," I commanded firmly, and he nodded. As the elevator doors closed, I turned towards her, closing the distance between us.

"Do you understand, Elsa?" Her gaze shifted from my eyes to my lips, and then she closed her eyes and nodded.

"Words, Darling. ." Her eyes promptly opened, fixed on me with intensity.

"Got it," she replied, clenching her teeth.

"What exactly did you grasp?" I inquired, a mischievous smirk forming on my lips. I love this. Teasing her.

"I cannot Quit until you or Dada wants me to."

"Good girl. Now, I expect you to return to your office and finish those files," Still holding her in between my hands. She forcefully pushed me away and stormed out of the elevator. I couldn't help but steal a glance at her ass, as she walked away, her swaying hips perfectly synchronized with her braided long hair.

I made my way to my office, engrossed in reviewing the files. Suddenly, an email notification caught my attention. It was a Tender notice from Lykaios. At that moment, I felt a wave of nostalgia wash over me. The last time I received a similar email, I had just become the CEO. Unfortunately, my opportunity to prove myself was cut short due to a scandal that landed me in the tabloids.
