Penny ran her hand down gumballs fur and pulled him closer. "Thanks." Gumball purred in a low voice and sat back. He flattened his ears and wiped away the rest of the tears with his palm. Until just then he noticed this white shirt had been stained as well.

"Oh no." The cat whimpered, pulling his shirt to take a better look. "Um.." Gumball looked back up at penny. " I gotta go change, can u wash this?" He asked while taking off his shirt and handing it to his girlfriend. "Sure?" She answered hesitantly and stood up the head for the laundry room.

Gumball sighed scratching the back of his head and looked down at his chest to see if the blood stained through. And it did, there was a light but very noticeable red stain on his fur right below his chest. Ugh i don't wanna shower, my fur takes for ever to dry. The blue cat complained in his head. But he thought cleaning only that portion of his body would be kinda nasty.

Being a cat, Gumball hated showers. He dislike the feeling of the water clinging to his fur and making it heavy. It made him feel slower and less energized. And since his fur held all the water in, he would be still be shivering even an hour after showering. But again with his girlfriend being here, he really didnt want to smell like sparrow blood.

"Penny, imma shower really quick, help your self to some food." He yelled from the base of the stairs. Not waiting for a response, he headed upstairs to his bedroom. Gumball walked in, but was unsure if he should look into the mirror. He stared straight ahead to the dresser and walked to it avoiding the mirror. He pulled out his towel, some jeans and a black t. The cat sighed and set his things on the bed.

"C'mon, you can do it." Gumball mumbled to himself, trying to encourage himself. He held his breath and stood in front of the mirror. The cat let out his breath, staring at his ruffled red-stained blue fur. Though he thought it was a bad idea, he looked himself in the eyes.

Penny walked back into the living room. "Did u say something?" She said looking around for the blue kitten. "Gumball?" She walked up the stairs and to his room. "Gumball? I thought i heard u say something but..." Penny opened the door and gasped only to see Gumball on all fours, staring at his reflection, baring his teeth slightly.

His back arched with his hackles raised and his tail bristling. The blue cat lunged at the mirror clawing at it and yowling. His claws scraped the mirror repeatedly and quickly until his stood with his front paws against the mirror, and staring into his eyes, hissing loudly.

Gumball pushed himself off the mirror and backed away, walking to the side while staring at the mirror to see of the cat in it would do the same as he did. He walked away from the mirror only to see that the cat had disappeared. With eyes wide he approached the mirror to see the cat still there. He curled up his lips and hissed at the cat and walked away from the mirror, curious at how the cat disappeared.

Penny finally stepped forward and wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him off the ground. "Gumball!" She cried out he struggled in her grasp, growling and hissing. The cat stopped his struggling and clawed at her arm. "Ow!" Penny cried and released Gumball.

With her cry, Gumball snapped back to reality. Only to see his girlfriend staring down at her injury. He felt his heart skip a beat and looked down at his claws, shaking more than he ever did. He could barley walk due to this fear, but was able to walk a few steps towards her before he fell to his knees.

"P-penny I uhh i msn.." Gumball choked on his words, holding in a loud cry. He held out his paws with tears streaming down his cheeks and trembling tremendously. But he stopped himself from holding her hand and put his paws on his eyes.

"Penny im so sorry!" He cried with red eyes. "Gumball this is not your fault, you clearly wouldn't do this on purpose." She said trying to calm him down, while she was shaking as well from shock. "It was my fault! I let myself h-hurt you!" The kitten sobbed uncontrollably , scooting away from her in order to not cause any more injuries.
