"GRACE! Wake up child!! You're going to be late for school! Get up you lazy bag of potatoes!" I groan and roll out of bed, get dressed and ready for school, grab my leather backpack, and head downstairs for breakfast. "Hello Mrs. Lucy", I say and set down my bag and take the cooking supplies out of her hands. She flops down on the coach next to her husband Rick, and picks up a fashion magazine. I make their breakfast, two eggs, over easy, black coffee and butter, a whole lot of butter. "GRACE", Rick bellows, although I am standing 20 ft away from him, "leave for school at once, you'll be late! Again!" I sigh silently and sling by bag over my shoulder. I walk around to the front of the coach and kiss Mrs. Lucy and Rick on the cheek before I leave.
I open the bright blue door that doesn't match the pale yellow house, and close it behind me."Logan, sweetie, I made you breakfast in bed, your mothers favorite, bless her soul." She places the tray across my bed. "Aunt Marie, can you please not bring up my mom? I know it was very long ago, but I wish I could've gotten to know her." Tears gathered in her eyes and she quickly replies "I'm so sorry dear, I didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject, I'll leave your breakfast here for you to finish." She quickly scampers off, leaving the door of my room wide open behind her. I groan and get up and shut the door. I grab the English muffin with jam on it and scarf is down, throw on some clothes, grab my bag, and open my window. I climb out on to the roof and than swing down the tree next to the window with ease, from doing it so many times before, creating some muscle definition in my arms. I hit the pavement and start off to school.
