Fighting Flames

Chapter-6

I walked back go back to my house and  have some water and try to sleep.
But when I reached home I was in shock.

The guys were standing on the gate and with them was my family.

The family I loved.

I stared at them.

The guys did not know about my past.
They were trying to know who these people were.

My younger sister was there.
And she was also not aware what was happening.

I stared at them and my dad was the one who started speaking
"Kiara this is your sister Rebecca. She is young and we want to shape her future. We want to see our baby girl happy. Help us. Please just for us."

I stared at them. Were they in their senses. They come to me for money?

I was their baby girl. I should've been the one they wanted to see happy. But they hate me. They have a daughter and I have a sister.

But I don't have parents.

All the time I thought that I was weak that even after my parents told me that they hate me I loved them.

Even after they replaced me I missed them.

But this time I was not going to let my feeling get ahead of me.
I knew it wasn't right but I had decided.

"Cameron please take Rebecca in and as for you Mr. and Mrs. Evans I invite you in so we can have a talk."

Their eyes showed nothing. They didn't regret leaving me alone.
Their eyes were cold.
Just like their hearts.

They came in and I motioned them to sit.

"You are really strange people you know. You come to my house in the middle of the night and ask me for money? Are you for real? Now let me say one thing clearly. I don't care what you want for your baby girl. You have no right to ask me for aid when you are the reason I ended up alone. Do you have any idea on how I survived. You guys didn't even apologize for what you did. Well then your mistake is standing in front of you and asking you to get out." I yelled.

They stared at me.

"I said get out. And Rebecca is not coming with you.
If I see you around her, me or my house I promise I won't spare you."

They walked out. Just like that. No words. No apologies. No explanations. Nothing.
They just walked out again.

But this time they didn't just leave my house they also left my heart. The love I felt for them became hatred.

When I could take it no more I  burst into tears.

I ran to my room. Cameron and Andrew stayed with Rebecca.
I didn't see Dustin coming behind me then.

I cried and he came to the room.
He said nothing. Asked nothing. Just let me cling to him and cry my heart out.

After a long time I stopped crying.

"You know I had a dark past too. " He started

"My parents cared nothing for me and my brother. We were always on our own. But we fought. We were never alone. We had each other's back. Always. And we thought we were strong. If surviving our parents together made us think we were strong then I doubt about you being just strong. You survived your parents, Georgie and the whole wide world all alone and here you are. You are not just strong but the strongest person I have ever met. Never say that you are blank. I may not know what had happened to you but I know for a fact that you were left heartbroken by everyone you cared for. Feeling hurt is not feeling nothing. You have feelings. You are not the cold hearted girl the people claim you to be and if you are are hurt and broken its just a matter of time you will find your pieces and heal yourself. You know how to face situations without loosing you calm that is what makes you strong. I know I have not known you long but believe me now that we are a part of your life you will never be alone. Because we have your back. And more than fear it is the respect that I have for you."
