Self Inflicted

Okay so this is a Billie/Mike young slash. It'll be cuter at the end but right now it'll be a bit depressing. And a warning, it may be triggering for some people who have or do self harm. I hope you guys like it, give it a vote or a comment to tell me what you'd like to see.

Mike could remember the first time he cut himself oh so clearly.

His mom couldn't afford the house they were living in, so she said he had to leave Rodeo and come with her, somewhere else. Somewhere cheeper.

That's when Mike's word collapsed.

Somewhere else?

His mom didn't understand, Billie Joe was here, in Rodeo. They were best friends, and now they were 15 and had been best friends for almost 5 years.

His mother constantly pestered him about moving. Schoolwork was piling up. People at school hated Billie and Mike, they were freaks. Mike had to save his best friend from getting beat up daily, if not more.

He couldn't take it any longer.

It was when he was standing in the kitchen, a glass of water in his hand.

His mom walked in.

"Michael, I can't afford rent this month either. When do you think you'll make your decision about moving to somewhere cheap?" She asked, busying around the kitchen.

Mike simply ignored her until she sighed and walked out.

Then he dropped the glass. It smashed across the floor and he watched the glass, swallowing hard.

He leant over and picked a piece up before examining his wrist.

He wondered what it would feel like. To bleed, and know he did it.

Without hesitation, he pressed the glass to his arm and dragged it across a few times, making sure not to cut too deep.

Before he knew it, it was all the way up his arm and wrist.

He cleaned everything up quickly, drying his arm off and wrapping a bandage around it.

He felt weak as he climbed the stairs up to his room, settling himself into bed and falling asleep.

The only thing he had to worry about was Billie finding out.
