*Daemoni's POV*
The trees passed in a blur as I ran, chasing the intoxicating smell of fear. It was so thick in the air, it was nearly impossible to smell anything else. I knew exactly where the human was, but I decided to play with him before I killed him. I jumped into the nearest tree and silently watched him walking in circles yelling, "Show yourself." I waited this out letting my hunger grow and my teeth sharpen. I waited till the smell of his fear began to dissipate. I smiled and thought, "What an easy kill. Humans are so stupid."
I was getting ready to leap down behind him, when I heard a crashing noise in the distance. I turned and in the nearby distance, I saw a shape of a large black cat. I sniffed the air, hoping it was just a juvenile panther, but instead I caught the scent of a tiger. At the thought of losing my prey to a stupid animal, I pounced on my human, who was now lying down and completely unaware of the danger around him. He got up with a start, giving me an easy angle of his throat, which I took. Warm, rich, and adrenaline-filled blood rushed into my mouth and pleasure surged through my entire body at its wonderful taste. I didn't want the sensation to end, but I knew that the tiger was very near and the human was running out of blood, so I managed enough control to let the dying human drop from my strong grip to turn around and meet the danger ahead. What I didn't expect was that the black, magnificent, and extremely rare tiger would be right in front of me, watching me with its one violet and one blue eye with curiosity, interest, and slight anger.
I waited and watched as this beautiful creature slowly started to melt into a shape of an even more gorgeous woman. She had slightly wavy beach blonde hair, Caribbean Sea blue eyes, caramel tan skin, and a voice that would have charmed even sirens. My pale complexion, long curly brunette hair, and emerald green eyes simply couldn't compare.
As she walked towards me, time seemed to slow down and, even though I didn't have a heart, just then it felt like I did and it was racing a mile a minute. I couldn't take my eyes off her and I couldn't think straight. Never before in my entire "life" have I felt this way towards another woman. When she was so close that I could smell the overwhelming scent of her and feel her pleasantly warm breath on my face, she whispered in a teasing tone, "You have blood on your mouth, may I have a taste?", all my thoughts scattered and I nodded dumbly. She smiled and the next thing I knew, our lips met and embraced.
When the kiss ended and our lips parted, she asked my name. For a minute I didn't know it and couldn't understand why it was important. All I knew was that my lips still tingled where hers had been and that I wanted more. When, finally, the fog in my mind cleared and I couldn't think of what she had asked me and what it was, I managed to stammer out, "Daemoni". She smiled her strange, beautiful smile and said with a smooth silky voice, "That's beautiful, mine's Mystica". Now it was my turn to smile, but unlike Mystica's, my smile came out in a way that made me seem either very drunk or very high.
She glanced over my shoulder at my leftovers lying in a heap near the base of the tree and asked, "You going to finish him, or let him turn?" To this, I turned around and looked at him, wondering what this semi-attractive male would look like as a vampire. I surprised myself when I said defensively, I was going to let him turn", when in fact, just a matter of minutes ago, I meant to drain him, to kill him so that he couldn't turn.
