The light fades
and clouds roll across the sky,
casting dark, gray shadows
upon the earth,
water droplets falling
like shattered glass
from car windows,
broken pieces scattered
in pools on moonlit streets,
shocks of with light
flashing
and thunder
roaring
with the storm.
