I slid my key into the key hole and unlocked the door. I kicked my shoes off and threw my bag on the floor.
"Logan!" My dad yelled from upstairs.
Oh god.
"She's not here right now" i said sarcastically.
"Oh really? So the girl who just walked in wasn't my daughter? Even thought she had the same Blonde hair and was actually pretty tall for a seventeen year old?" He rolled his eyes.
I shrugged and opened the fridge, pulling out the jug of orange juice.
"Ok what now?" I sighed.
"Amber wants to have a family dinner tonight. She wants you and Lily to be together a little more since we are getting married soon" he said.
I almost choked on my orange juice.
"DAD!" I screamed.
He looked at me with no feeling or emotion showing on his face.
"I can not stand Lily! Are you fucking serious right now!" I yelled.
He shook his head.
"Be ready by six" he sighed and went back up stairs.
I could not believe him right now. I hated his fiancé and i hated her daughter even more.
Amber was a high strong, annoying, and extremely strict lawyer. She would literally be the death of me.
Lily was Amber's daughter. She was almost exactly like her mother. The one thing that set them apart was how they felt towards me.
Amber actually liked me and tries to be my mother. I never let her.
Lily hated me but we all know she is jealous of me. Her mom is actually more worried about me than she is about her own daughter. Thats the only reason why Lily hated me.
I threw on a pair of ripped skinny jeans and nice shirt and swept my straight blonde hair into a side braid. I swept my mascara wand along my lashes and filled my eyebrows in. Foundation coated my skin like a thin blanket and i set it with powder. I swiped on some lip gloss and slid my shoes on. I was ready to go and met my dad at the restaurant.
I parked my car, sighed, and walked in. I saw my dad, Amber, and Lily at a table in the corner. And just with my luck, Hunter Jameson and his brother, Storm, seated at the table next to us. Hunter was with his family also so that meant, we were screwed. My Dad and Amber were already talking with his parents.
We exchanged glances but didn't utter a single word.
I took my seat next to Lily and sighed.
"Who's that?" She asked.
"Hunter, if you don't remember" I scoffed.
"Oh! Your Boyfriend!" She exclaimed.
I face palmed.
"He's not my boyfriend" I said through clenched teeth.
"Sorry, i meant ex-boyfriend" she laughed and shrugged.
Hunter turned at the word boyfriend and raised an eyebrow at me. Did he really expect me to tell him if i had a boyfriend? Did he honestly think that? Because i wouldn't. After what happened with Hunter and I, I could never love again. The one time i didn't fear falling in love, he showed me once again why i should.
