Plans

You have placed many paths in my life,

Both rocky and smooth

Each so different,

Yet each grows my faith.

You tell me that you have beautiful plans,

Yet I still feel lost some days.

Where are you guiding me,

I'm only a sheep.

Your plans are to help me grow,

To give hope and a future.

But I still find myself questioning,

How?

And yet,

Somehow I am here.

Standing before my peers.

You show these plans are not just for me,

But for them.

They are growing as I speak,

Hearing the words from my lips.

Words of encouragement and peace,

Words for a future.

Each one has plans,

perfectly sculpted by your hands.

This poem was inspired by Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jer. 29:11)
