Today was good. Well as compared to the rest of the days I have spent here in Kingwell University, today was indeed great. My classes were actually smooth without me yearning with wanderlust, although that was blissful since I got to escape from my monotonous routine once in a while. When I actually thought of it, my morning is what gave the day a kickstart.

I woke up to find Chris's green eyes staring at me momentarily and then turning away quickly--as if trying not to let the cat out of the bag. His eyes weren't just green. They were a particular shade of green, like that of emerald stones. I could feel envy flowing out of me like carbon dioxide. His eyes reminded me of rocks which in turn reminded me of rocks near a stream. In less than a minute wanderlust coursed through my blood, holding my mind captive, it agreed to surrender only if I fulfilled it's needs. Well, since I can't function without my brain, I had to surrender to it. In that moment I made it my master, letting it take me to unknown places which gave me unknown feelings. Shortly afterwards Chris decided to break my trance.

" Hey Aiden you okay?" His deep voice was still reverberating through the deepest realms of my mind. It seemed to cool down the frenzy that my wanderlust added to my blood. I could listen to him all day.

" I'm good, just soaking in the sunshine ya know?" I answered with the wittiest reply I could think of. Well it certainly wasn't witty and scarcely impressive, but it could be excused since I just woke up.

" Did you dream last night? Don't lie to me because I know you did. Care to share?" Oh my god. I left like a five year old whose mommy just found out that he's the one who's been gobbling the cookies. I do wonder how does he know this. Wait... was he staring at me all night last night? That would be weird.

" I, I don't really remember it. Must be dragons something." Liar. There was no way I was going to tell my one-day roommate that I dream of the pyramids and Taj Mahal because my blood had more wanderlust than water. Although I do agree that dragons isn't my category of reply considering the fact that reptiles as small as lizards can make me wet my pants. For now, I guess 'dragon freak' is a conjecture I could put up with, for now.

" You must be really fond of dragons because I have to tell you, you were blushing like a bride-to-be!" That's it, he burst into this boisterous and very boyish laughter. What I particularly noticed was how he snorted before laughing; I thought only girls did that. His laugh was loud and contagious, part of me even thought it was horrid but, all and all any one would immediately warm up to him after watching him laugh. I was very glad Joshua was sent back home and my dorm was changed. This is good.

" Ready to get up? The day's waiting for us. Tell me your classes because I guess I forget 'em." Wow! His enthusiasm is amusing.
" Creative Writing, Biology, American History..."
" I go to American History too! That's where I remember you from! Wow. Let's go, we gotta get breakfast and go to class." He interrupted me and then got up, fetched his towels and clothes and went out the room. Looks like I'm not going to get a minute of rest with this boy.

I didn't see him at breakfast after we came back to our dorm from the bathroom. One thing that I noted was his cologne. It was dreamy.

Like usual mornings, I saw my 'morning person' friends sitting around our table blabbering about how should they make me one member of their tribe too.

"Hello sleepyhead, how you doing?" Ravi and Roshni- the Indian siblings- said in unison as usual.

"Sleepyhead's good. Sleepyhead's roommate is friendly and sleepyhead is hungry!" I made a monster voice at the end of that.

" Well hello there sleepyhead, notice me?" Katherine burst out into a giggle after saying that. I admired her fondly, well not in that sort but only as a dear, dear friend.

" How could I dare overlook your Highness's presence madam? What I really do wonder is, why in the world is Kristoffer all soaked up in, of all things, a book?" I'd like to speak in a British manner once in a while, owing to my distant ancestors alongside with light hearted sarcasm powdered upon my words.

Roshni had to snap her fingers in front of Kristoffs face in order to steer his attention towards the latter. I have to say, today's been surprising all the way along.

" Kris we thought you didn't like books, is this for homework? Because if it is, I'm skipping class today. I can't bear her unleash that mad angry goddess form of her personality on me again." Ravi spoke up.

" It's um... Candice's. She recommended it so I'm reading it. Yeah." muttered Kris.

" Someone's got a thing for Candy eh?" Kath smirked and said that in a very husky voice.

" Okay guys, it's time for class. I'm off, let's go Kris." Roshni stated as she picked up her bag and gestured for all of us to follow. What can I say? She's always been the leader.

The day after that was all a rush; a slow rush. I had classes back to back and then completing a Creative Writing project devoured the rest of my time.

After dinner when I came back to the room, my eyes were finally gifted with the sight of Chris Black. He was lazily slouching while reading what seemed like an art magazine. By the looks of it he was really worn out and tired. The reading must be for some last minute going through for any ideas for his class tomorrow. He was so very indulged in the latter that he didn't notice me until I coughed my throat to steer his eyes towards me.

" Hey roomie!" Wow, his enthusiasm never rubs off.

" Hey Chris, how was your day?" Gosh, I really didn't want to have that conversation after such a long day. I would have killed just to snuggle in my bed, but Chris's demeanour made me talk to him for almost an hour.

I felt my eyelids getting heavy, as if someone made them carry weights far beyond their capacity. As my eyes shut, I saw black, and then all was gone.
