Trailer on right!---
Liam's POV:
As I was walking towards the bridge absent-mindedly, a homeless man stopped me.
"My family has had nothing to eat for two days sir because of this recession, can you help with some money?" He asked me.
I said nothing as I pulled out my wallet, there were about a couple of hundred dollars inside. I handed my entire wallet to the man. He looked beyond surprised but happy.
"Thank you so much sir, but won't you be needing this money, I can't take so much from you when there's recession going on", He said, trying to hand me back my wallet.
"Keep it. I won't be needing it anyway", I said and continued walking.
My mind couldn't help but think about what happened.
Flashback:
"Liam, don't you think it's too much? I mean you have applied for a loan of fifty million dollars. What if the market crashes?" My friend, Ryan asked me. He looked furious.
"Relax Ryan, nothing like that would happen, trust me. This time the stock market would touch the skies" I said.
"And what if it does?" He asked me.
"I would end my life" I replied back.
Flashback ends.
----------------
Little did I know that it would actually come down to this. Our loan had passed and we invested almost all of it in the stock market. Before we knew the market crashed and recession hit the city like a storm.
There was no one to blame but me, everyone was furious and I could understand that. To pay back the bank we all had to sell something and it would be good to say that I have no friends left, and my parents, well I don't even remember the last time I contacted them after they divorced and left me with a nanny.
I, Liam Collins, had given up on life and there was nothing, not even a single speck of hope for me to live. Nobody would care if I died, I think they would be happy about it.
With these thoughts I started to climb on the railing of the bridge and closed my eyes.
"Okay, at the count of three" I said to myself.
"One", I whispered.
"Two", I took a deep breath.
"Wait! I'll join you", someone shouted and I fell.
