"Georgia, put the book down and answer your phone, I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to snap today." Georgia sighed angrily, "he left another voice message." She said to herself with a hint of annoyance in her voice. She put her Harry Potter book down, and phoned her friend Abbie, "yeah, he left another voice message.." Abbie cut her off "It's just because he cares Georgia, maybe you two should talk, it seems like he really wants to fix things." Georgia, took a deep breath "alright, maybe I should, thank you Abbie, I'll call you later on and tell you how things went." Abbie laughed and answered back "you two were made for each other, I don't get why you don't talk about it." Georgia smiled to herself at Abbie's statement. She hung up the phone and Abbie's words burned into her brain "you two were made for each other". "But I'm Asexual.. at least I thought I was.." Georgia questioned herself.. maybe she wasn't Asexual. She phoned up Adam "Hey, we need to talk, I'm serious. I'm calling you because I had no other option."
"I'm sorry I got so angry with you, Ellie told me how upset you were, I'm not mad with you. Just a little bit angry at the fact that you said it in an angry tone. I thought you were mad at me, I'm sorry." Adam on the other line was nearly in tears as he realised his mistake. But Georgia always had a soft spot for Adam "it's okay, you're human, humans make mistakes it's in our nature. Maybe we can just forget about this? I don't want our friendship to end over something so little."
"Thank you Georgia, you're a good friend, I have to go but we can talk later, bye!" Adam hung up.
"... Friends.." Georgia whispered to herself "that's all we'll ever be."
*THE NEXT DAY*
Georgia arrived to college as per usual, her and Adam were laughing and joking, like nothing had happened the day before. They joked around and Adam said he loved her like he always did, but only as a friend of course. Every time he said it Georgia had to fake a smile and say it back, "you two were meant for each other." The words were pounding in her head like a battling ram, each hit was stronger than the other getting deeper and deeper into her thoughts. "What did you say?" Adam looked at her confused
"What?"
"You said "you were made for each other." Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Georgia replied smiling half heartedly. Adam gave her a questioning look, but let it go, Georgia was silent the whole day, she wouldn't speak. She got home and spoke with her mom and sister about things at college making sure to leave Adam out of it. After that she went into her bedroom and watched Dan and Phil, hoping it would put her mind at rest, but nothing could drown out the thoughts that were raging like a perfect storm "you love him" " you were made for each other" "Asexual, what that big of a crush? Really?" "What will the guys at college think?" "What would Adam think if he knew?" "He can't find out" "Nobody can find out"
After she managed to cool down the tempest going on in her sea of imagination. She laid down and went to sleeping thinking about the day ahead.
