I don't like change. I never have, and I sure as hell never will.

It's a nuisance, really. Why do things have to change when life is perfect just the way it is?

Crowley Corners, Tennessee is my safe haven. My family's house is the same as it's always been, our neighborhood is just as familiar as always, and unlike most of the teens I've grown up with, I like it this way.

People never move to Crowley Corners; they move away. Far away. As far away as their beat up pick-up trucks and cowboy boots can take them.

That's why the Twist/Styles family's big move to our small town was such a hot topic among everyone.

From what I heard, they're from England, which makes their decision to move here even stranger. Why would you want to leave such an amazing, historical place to come to Tennessee out of all places?

Robin Twist, the step-father of the newly gossiped about family, is rumored to be an accountant who moonlights as a musician with a band he co-founded with an old friend from school. You can never completely trust the gossiping old women who congregate on each other's porches to feed on these types of things, but if there's any truth to their stories, he seems like a decent enough man.

Anne Twist, the mother, however, didn't fly by so well with the residents of Crowley Corners. Rumor has it that she's currently on her third marriage. Considering how scarce divorces are in this town, she's considered a poster child for failure. I, on the other hand, think it's nice that a couple of frogs didn't stop her from marrying her current prince, but I would never say that aloud. It's basically asking for social suicide.

Not much is know about Anne's children, but I hope The Lord has mercy on them once they take their first steps into Ravenwood High School. Without the grace of God himself, the close-minded assholes that make up the student body will have them boarding the next flight back to England.

Ok, so first off, thank you for reading!

Second, this story is set in a complete AU (alternate universe) so the actions and situations I put the real life characters in are completely up to my imagination.

Third, yes, I used Crowley Corners from the Hannah Montana movie. I just couldn't help myself.
