I woke up the next morning to Pansy screaming because she couldn't find her favourite shoes. Needless to say, it also woke up the rest of the Slytherin dormitories. At five in the morning. Suddenly, our door was slammed open. "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON IN HERE?" Malfoy growled, stepping into the room. I yawned and sat up. "Pansy can't find her shoes, duh." I snapped at him. "Why, you filthy little mudblood!" He lunged at me, but some upperclassmen held him back. I smirked, before rolling back over when i realized that i hate mornings and i didn't want to get out of bed. "GET UP!!!" one of my dorm mates, Crimson, screamed, pulling the covers off my bed and me along with them. I put my hands down to brace myself but when i fell there was a sickening crack and a searing pain in my arm. My vision blurred for a minute and Crimson smirked. i stood up and wobbled unsteadily to the mirror where i quickly did my hair and outfit and makeup with a flick of my wand. i then decided to walk to madam pomfreys because my arm was nearly unbearable. I walked into the common room and out of the moving stone doorway. I accidentally bumped into the wall with my bad arm and a jolt of pain coursed through me. Just as i was rounding the corner to go upstairs I staggered and bumped into someone. Malfoy turned, looking smug, but his face fell in realization when he saw me. "Kathrynn." he said and caught me just before i hit the ground. At first it was black, and i thought i was unconscious, but then a picture started to form. "Wormtail," a cold voice said, sending shivers down my spine. "Bring me the boy and the girl. Alive, or there will be... punishment." then a man steeped into the room. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" the voice yelled and the man crumpled, dead. "No," i whispered. "No, no, no, this can't be real, it can't be— NO!" I woke up with a scream, panting and sweating, but as cold as ice. I looked around and scrambled up. "Dumbledore," i mumbled, stumbling out of bed. "I need to see Dumbledore," then i realized that my arm was fixed. I melted into a heap on the ground. "No, no, no, this can't be it —shouldn't be," i felt like my head was going to explode and i needed my arm to be the way it was because it's not possible to fix things like that —it's not. I grabbed the edge of the hospital bed and stood up shaking. "My wand, where's my wand?" i grabbed my hair and looked around. I found it and took it in my shaking hand. "Need it to be— normal." i mumbled. Malfoy started forward and tried to take my wand from me, but i had already said the incantation. I heard the sickening snap of bones and i screamed and fell forward into Draco. I was going to step back from the shock, but he pulled me into his chest and held me while i cried. While i thought about the dream i had. While i thought about my new house. While i thought about life. About how damn unfair it is.
