Chapter 6--The Monster

We sat up quickly heavily breathing,

We were most definitely in the woods I didn't really understand how we had gotten there at first but we did.

Birds chirped as we made our way through the woods to a small body of water El put the wig on looking into the water as a mirror.

She sighed and took it off of her head she then screamed the birds flew and the water splashed.

That's when I felt I was being talked about

"Okay, I'll shake" mike sighed "On one condition though, we forget the weirdos and go straight to the gate" "then the deals off." "Fine!" "Fine!" "No, no, not fine! Guys, seriously? Do you even remember what happened in the Bloodstone Pass?" The boys shrugged I was watching them as they argued

"We couldn't agree on what path to take, so we split up the party and those trolls took us out one by one. And it all went to shit. And we were all disabled! So we stick together, No matter what!"
"Yeah I agree. But this is the party right here in this room."

"El and Si are one of us now." "Um, no, they're not. Not even close! Never will be. They're liars, traitor--" "They were just trying to keep us safe! Si didn't mean to hurt you. It was an accident!"

"An accident?"

I couldn't listen anymore i was hurt.

My sister and I made our way into a small town, we both were dirty and weird looking especially to the people here.
We went into a store walking quite fast. People gave us weird glances looking over us.
"Are you lost? Is your mom here? Your dad?"
"Mouth breather" we scoffed walking away El seen Eggos and grabbed a bunch

"What should we do?" "Uh...call the police?"

We started to walk away "excuse me. Young lady! You know you have to pay for those!" He started following us I pushed a cart out infront of him slowing him down

We walked out the door as he was almost out the door I slammed them shut causing glass to shatter  everywhere.

Then I went blank again

"He should've shaken my hand"
"He's just jealous"
"What are you talking about?" Mike asked Dustin

"Sometimes, your total obliviousness just blows my mind. He's your bestfriend, right?"
"Yeah... I mean, I don't know."
"It's fine. I get it. I didn't eat here until fourth grade. He has the advantage of living next door. But none of that matters. What matters is that he is your bestfriend. And then this girl shows up and starts living in your basement and all you ever wanna do is pay attention to her-" "There's two girls" "doesn't matter you like one" Dustin continued on
"That's not true." "Yes it is and you know it. And he knows it. But no one ever says anything until you both start punching and yelling at each other like goblins with intelligence scores of zero" "Now everything's weird"

I didn't listen anymore

Then I seen Mike and Dustin Peddling away from the market I had a bad feeling in my stomach something bad was about to happen

I don't know what it was but I had some kind of connection with Nance

I suddenly felt her emotions

I looked in and in big red letters 'STARRING NANCY THE SLUT WHEELER'

She speed walked over to what looked like her friends "hey there princess" "uh oh she looks upset"

She suddenly slapped the dude with the stupid looking hair everyone gasped "damn!"
"What is wrong with you?" "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? I was worried about you I can't believe I was actually worried about you" Steve scoffed
"What are you talking about?"
"I wouldn't lie if I were you. You don't want to be know as the lying slut now, do you?"

I had enough
"El I'll be right back it'll be quick" she nodded "don't leave without me" she nodded again

I tapped myself into the lot standing behind Jonathan

"Who the hell do you think you little mouth breathers are?" I asked speed walking furious at the situation

The teenagers looked at me

"So now you're gonna have mikes little girlfriend stick up for you Nancy?"

I looked at him I threw him against the car everyone just looked at the scene "How many people have you slept with Carol? Hmm 6, 7? 17?" I asked I had no clue where this was coming from

"How many has nance? 1!" I yelled her and her boyfriend flew onto the ground

I walked infront if Steve

"Listen you take that shit down! Or I'll beat the crap out of you with my bare hands!" I yelled in his face I busted the windows of the car

I then left figuring a fight would break out between Jonathan and Steve after what happened I got back to where El was supposed to be she wasn't "El!" I yelled "oh god no" I started looking for Mike then I found him I zapped myself there but a little ways away so no one could see me.

I seen the boys from the school and one had a knife to Dustin

My heart raced

"Let him go!" "Stay back or I cut him!" "What do you want?" "I want to know how you did it!" "How I did what?" Dustin whimpered "i know you did something to me. Some nerdy science shit to make me do that." "You mean piss your pants?"
He glared at Mike

"Our friend has superpowers, and she squeezed your tiny bladder with her mind"
"Shut up!"
He then threatened Dustin

"I'll let him go, sure. But first... it's your turn." "My turn for what?" "Wet yourself" "What?" "Jump... or toothless here gets an early trip to the dentist"
"Stop no" Dustin waled

"Hold on!" Dustin was yelling for like not to jump but Mike ignored his pleads

He slowly walked over to the edge of the cliff everyone stayed quiet

He stood on the edge "don't do it!" Then he jumped off the boys ran over I held mike in the air I quickly brought him back up over the boys and he fell to the ground

I walked up angrily as did my sister close behind

Mike stared with glistening eyes at me Dustin just smiled his toothless grin at me

El pushed the bigger boy onto the ground I twisted my head to the side then a bone cracking was heard through the Place. Troy screamed "she broke my arm! My arm!" "Go get out of here." I said angrily "go" El said

The boys ran "yeah you better run! She's our friend and she's crazy!"

El and I fell back onto the muddy ground

She started having a flashback

"Were sorry mike" "sorry? What are you sorry for?"
"The gate... we opened it. I'm the monster" "No you're not the monster, you saved me. Do you understand? You saved me."
Dustin pulled El up and Mike pulled me up and into a hug he held me like that for a moment and My sister and Dustin joined in

We had returned to mikes that day when there was a van when I seen a man look at us and the speak into a walkie talkie

"I've got eyes on em now. They're heading home"

I knew this wasn't good. This wasn't good at all
