"And you're sure he's the one?" murmured a sleek-furred cat with a pelt so dark that it shone blue, licking her paw, speckled with stars like those around her. "He seems awfully normal," Bluestar remarked, turning to the wiry, muscled tom crouched next to her, staring through the pool in front of the pair, his golden tail flicking up behind him. Through it, they could see the wide, flat moor of the WindClan cats, and the pine filled marshes of ShadowClan. Past the silvery expanse of lake, she could see RiverClan carrying on with their everyday clan duties. But what she was looking straight at was the two to four cats patrolling near the edge of ShadowClan and ThunderClan territory.                                                   The patrol could be seen, but it seemed strange that only two cats were spotted, sniffing at trees and reinstating borders. As the former ThunderClan leader turned away, a cat tumbled headfirst into a tree, then took a sharp turn around a tree- birch, was it?- and raced towards an orange cat with slight spots of white on his tail and muzzle, his aqua gaze coldly staring at a  tiny pile of fur. "Yes, they are here for a reason. As they are descended from Firestar," he nodded to an orange tom, stalking a mouse in the long grass, "they seem the most likely to-" he started, then was cut short as the points of four sharp claws, glinting in the moonlight, appeared through his pure white neck, now stained red with the tabby tom's blood. The cat slumped forward, his hazel eyes glazed.                                                                                                                                                    Bluestar stared out into the darkness past his quivering body, but saw nothing. Suddenly, shadows enveloped her trembling body, as she backed way from the figures rising  up. . .and out of the ground before her! With no one else in sight, she turned and ran as fast as her StarClan-strengthened legs could carry her. She hadn't known him- a cat from long ago, forgotten by all but those nearer his time- but he had been chosen to come to StarClan, and could therefore be trusted. One thought stayed in Bluestar's mind as she skimmed across the lands of Silverpelt, with the shadows in close pursuit: I have to tell the others. I must warn them all.

 I must warn them all
