{Joshua Dun}

Mother walked barged into my room, her skin red as my bed sheets.

"JOSH STOP POUNDING THOSE DRUMS!"

"But mom!"

"What did I tell you about playing while being grounded."

I sigh and remove myself from the drums. I guess I shouldn't have yelled at dad. He did fire back at Jordan. I was protecting him. I'm normally really calm but I can't help it when my family fights.

"Don't you dare walk away from me mister."

I roll my eyes and continue walking. Jordan showed up home a little after his curfew. So what. I do it all the time. I'm too busy with the band. How come they yell at him and not me? Is it because he parties and I work with band? Is it because they think I'm more successful than he is? No. We are just the same. I stop in my tracks and turn around. I take a deep breath and speak.

"Look I'm sorry. You know I hate it when we fight."

She stands there staring at me like I'm a brick wall. She's staring straight through me.

"Are you upset because Jordan came home from the party 30 minutes after his curfew?"

"No."

"Well maybe you should ge- wait what?"

"I'm not mad at him because of that."

"Then why are you mad?"

"He came home in a police car."

"What?!"

I run down the stairs and find Jordan. I finally spit him I rush up to him and shove him.

"What the hell, Josh?!"

"Why did you come home in a police car!"

He sat there silently.

"ANSWER ME! I covered your back. You were being yelled at and I can't tolerate that. You are my brother and I will always have your back. Now speak!"

"Okay fine. I showed up in a police car because I was caught drinking under age."

"With who?"

"Carson.."

"Carson who?"

"Peters. Carson Peters."

This Carson Peters kid better be arrested. Jordan has never done this before. Not that I know of.
