First Day

Mike
Our manager, Brooke, thought it was a good idea for me and the fellas to go back to public school. I don't know why he waited till our senior year to do this, but I ain't gonna complain. I'm actually kinda excited.
I go into Ron's room to wake him up. He already up and happy as fuck.

Ron: *looking in the mirror* Have you ever seen a flyer brotha?
Mike: Nigga, would you come on! You my ride.
Ron: Why don't you ride with Rick, or better yet, drive your damn self since you in such a rush
Mike: Rick said he skippin and I don't feel like diving.
Ron: How he gone skip on the first day of school? Imma snitch.
Mike: Why you gotta go snitch on him for. Let him skip.
Ron: Nah man. If we gotta go he do too. Let's go.

Rick
I'm supposed to be going to school but I not going. Not today, at least.  I was asleep until Brooke came in my room shaking me and shit.

Brooke: Come on, man, getcho yo ass  up.
Rick: You serious unc? How you even know I was here?
Brooke: Ron called me and told me you was skippin today.
Rick: Snitchin ass nigga. Why we gotta go to school anyway? We BBD.
Brooke: Don't go up in that school thinking you the shit. I already talked to the principal so nobody will treat yall like yall better than everybody else. Now get up cus you already late.

I get up and make my way to school.

Ron
We get to the school and the principal, Mrs. Hobbs, leads us to the front office. As soon as we walk in, a girl is waiting there with a big smile on her face. So I give a big smile back.

Mrs. Hobbs: Guys this is Jacqueline Grey. You guys have a few classes with her so I figured she could show you around the school and to your classes.

Jacqueline hold out her hand and I quickly shake her hand. Then she shakes Mike's hand.

Jacqueline: Nice to meet you guys.
Mike: Nice to meet you too. Sorry about him he's just a little excited to be back in school.
Ron: I'm just tryna be friendly, Mike.
Mike: That don't mean you gotta be actin all hyper and shi-
Jacqueline: We should really get going. Where is the other guy, Ricky?
Mike & Ron: Skippin
Jacqueline: Oh. Okay then let's go.

Jacqueline leads us to our first period. As we walk down the hall she talks to a lot of people.

Ron: Aye, man, what you think about Jacqueline. You think she cute.
Mike: Is that all you think about?
Ron: Why you think I'm so happy to be back in school?
Mike: I don't know. I guess she alright. But I'm feeling Mrs. Hobbs.
Ron: Really? She way too old for you man.
Mike: Age ain't nothin but a number.

I shake my head laughing at Mike. Then we reach our class. Me, Mike and Jacqueline sat next to each other. Our teacher, Mr. Carter, introduces himself and say we had to play a "get to know you" game. What the fuck, are we in first grade or something. I was about to pair up with Jacqueline but Mike already had her. Damn. I'm all by myself.

Mr. Carter: Mr. DeVoe. Ms. Page doesn't have a partner yet.

I look around to see who he talking about. Then I see this little cutie with long hair and dimples. And you know how I do. I walk up to her and sit in the seat next to her.

Ron: So what's your name, beautiful?

She smiles and put her head down bein all shy and stuff wit her cite self.

Leah: Leah
Ron: Well, Leah, I'm Ron Devoe.
Leah: Yeah. I know. I'm kind of a fan.

So she's a fan.

Mike
I paired up with Jacqueline. She seems like cool people. She tells me that plays like five instruments and she got a big ass family and stuff like that. Since she's a music lover I asked her how she felt about us and who her favorite artist was.

Jacqueline: Of course, I like yall, but my favorite artists are Prince and...

She looks at me and laughs a little.

Mike: What?
Jacqueline: Bobby Brown.
Mike: *while laughing* Woooow. That's my boy and all but he ain't got nothin on us.
Jacqueline: I'm sorry, but, he's better.
Mike: How you gone straight up tell me he better than us. Just when I thought you was cool with me.
Jacqueline: I am cool with you, but, you ain't Bobby Brown.
Mike: Alright then, how bout this. Since you showing us around the school and stuff, I'll pay you back with some backstage passes.
Jacqueline: To a Bobby Brown concert?
Mike: Yeah since he's the best.
Jacqueline: I knew I was gone like you. But what about Ron and Ricky? They cool like you?
Mike: Well, they not as fly as I am, but, Ron is one of the coolest people i know. He real chill and laid back, but he was on some other shit this morning. He was all in the mirror like , "ooh I'm so fly. You ain't never seen nobody as fly as me".
Jacqueline: *laughing* For real. He was feeling himself that bad.
Mike: Yeah. And Rick been my friend for a long time. He a nice guy. You'll really like him, he has a heart of gold.
Jacqueline: Cool, man I lookin forward to meeting him.
Mike: He'll be here tomorrow I promise.
Jacqueline: Let me see your schedule. We have 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 8th period together. And we have lunch together. Well this will be a fun year.
Mike: What about Ron?
Jacqueline: You, Ron, and Rick have all your classes together.
Mike: Hell yeah, we gone fuck this shit up.
