About a month has passed since Carla's death, Grisha heard about her death almost immediately from a distraught Eren, though he still stayed on his "business trip" considering he came back with some blonde Swedish girl
Eren chose not to acknowledge this, his emotions all in a jumble, sleeping too much or not at all, the boys ribs were gradually starting to appear and his face became thinner. No matter how much his dad, and that new girl, Lillianna, tried to force food down his throat it would always come back up because of hi messed up schedule.
"Eren, you're being irrational." His father said, standing up from the table. "Irrational? I'm being irrational? My mother, your wife, died! Then not even a month later you come back with this.. This whore!" Eren lashed out, all the rage that was pent up inside finally freeing itself through words.
Lillianna looked shocked at his word choice to describe her, Grisha defending her by saying, "What was I supposed to do? Stay lonely?" Eren growled, clenching his fists, "It's only been a month you insensitive bastard!" By this time Grisha was in stunned silence, not able to think of anything to say, "We haven't even had her funeral yet!" Eren wailed, collapsing onto the ground as his legs gave way, becoming a sobbing mess.
(A\N: The funeral got held back because of Grisha's "business trip")
Lillianna looked over at Grisha, then at the sobbing boy on the floor, "I didn't think he thought of me that way.." She murmured, walking out of the kitchen.
-- (A\N: That's my new time skip)
Finally the funeral, Eren was relieved yet so sad that there were no words to describe it, ever since his out burst his father has bee hostile towards him, saying to Lillianna one night, "If he didn't stop being depressed, or start controlling his anger issues he'd send him away" Eren didn't know what that meant for a while.
Eren felt as if he was made of glass, the ride to the funeral coated in awkward silence, enough that when they arrived Eren was the first to get out.
For the first time in a while, Eren actually put effort into his appearance, though his eating habits still made him look fairly unhealthy.
Eren took a deep breath to collect himself, for he was the one going to make a speech to honor his mother, the boys father even had the nerve to bring Lillianna, the careless man, flaunting his girlfriend around at his dead wife's funeral. He didn't even seem sad.
Eren's sadness was replaced by anger as he marched up to his father, "Get out." He ordered, "What?" Grisha asked, quite confused, "I said get out. You obviously don't care your wife is dead. Go flaunt your whore somewhere else."
Grisha narrowed his eyes, "How dare you speak to me an Lillianna that way.." he growled, grabbing Eren's wrist, "I'm your father, there's nothing you can do about it."
Eren laughed a bit, "A father wouldn't send his kid away to a place for crazies. You're not father to me."
"I tried, Eren, I don't want to send you away, but you've given me no choice." Grisha muttered, Lillianna looking sympathetic.
Eren narrowed his eyes, "So you're really doing it? I was right, you are an insensitive bastard."
--
Eren's rage had subsided for now, Grisha ended up dropping Lillianna off at the house before taking Eren to.. a place for "help" is how he worded it.
Although Eren was calm on the outside, he could picture everything that went on. He was afraid. Very afraid of leaving, even if he didn't want to be with this father, his mother was all he wanted.
Eren twiddled his thumbs in his lap while waiting on his father to find a parking place.. Please, please, don't leave me here..
After they had entered the building, Eren quickly got overwhelmed but kept his calm demeanor.
"No! No!" Eren heard a female voice scream, she sounded.. Legitimately crazy.. "You can't take me there again!" The woman finally came into sight, the boys eyes widening as the tall blonde man was trying to restrain her legs while carrying her. She almost seemed as strong as him. What went on in this place..?
"Eren, come on, let me take you to the place you'll be staying." The receptionist, Ms.Ral, said and brought him out of his thoughts.
Eren took a deep breath with a small nod, looking down the hallway where the man had taken the woman before following Ms.Ral.
"You can call me Petra if you like," the red-head said, trying to make a conversation, "Your dad said you don't speak unless needed?" Petra said, more of as a question.
The brunette shrugged as they stopped in front of a door, "Until we figure out if you're stable enough to have a roommate, you will be staying here and will be able to meet your assigned therapist." Petra said, unlocking the door before letting Eren in and leaving, locking it from the outside
There was barely any color, besides the blue-gray door, a thin, off white blanket and the thin bronze plate above the door that held the room number, "206.." Eren murmured, going over to the bed and sitting on the side of it, looking at the bright white walls.
There were no windows, the only thing that let the patients see was a square window in the door, which made him eerily uncomfortable since every patient that passed seemed to stare through it as they walked by.
The boy didn't move when he heard keys jingling on the other side before the door opened.
"Hello, Eren, I'm Mr.Bodt, or Marco if you prefer.. I will be your therapist for your stay."
