Lana's POV

The girls and I continued to walk down the beach until we reach behind the cave where no one goes. We strip down to our bikinis and enter the water. When the water hits my waist I can already feel my tail start to form. Before I know it my ocean blue tail reveals itself. I turn around and Byranna's red shining tail is easily seen. Bay's tail is under water but you can see her purple scales.

"Let's go girls!" I tell them before we take off to the ocean.

Our kingdom is not too far away. It's about a 5 mile swim, nothing we mermaids can't handle. When we were really little our kingdom got invaded, and most of out population died. There are only 200 of us now.

We swim until we reach the underwater seaweed covered palace. It's covered in seaweed because we have to protect ourselves. Our home is in the ocean floor but we cannot risk people seeing us.

"Yay! I see Connor!" Byranna shrieks.

Connor is Byranna's brother. He prefers the ocean then living in secret in land. Most of the mermaids do but some of us just love land as much as they love water. Like the girls' and I families.

Bay's POV

We reach the ocean kingdom and the first person we see is Connor. We swim over to him and he immediately hugs Byranna.

"Hey girls!" He greets us.

"Connor!!" I hug him.

Byranna and I grew up together, so I know her brother pretty well. We all exchange hugs and then go to meet the king. Well he isn't really the king, but let's just say he's the leader. We call him Waá.

"Hello! I was wondering when you were going to return" Waá says to us.

We chat for a while and soon the girls and I go to see some friends. We spend the afternoon under water and then we head back to land.

"Okay call me tomorrow!" Lana and Byranna say at once.

"Haha okay. Bye!" I say while starting my walk back to my house on top of the hill. I take the little trail quickly because it's dark and I'm a chicken and soon I end up at home. I push open the door and Clarissa is sitting on the couch watching a movie I guess.

"Hi!" She says, eyes still focused on the TV.

"Hey" I greet back jogging up the stairs.

I put my stuff down and suddenly feel exhausted. I take out some underwear, bra, and the rest of my pajamas and decide to take a shower. Now, I know what you're thinking. When mermaids are wet, their tail appears. How can she take a shower? Well let me explain you that. Mermaids have a special kind of seaweed we eat that prevents us from having our tail show for a hour. The seaweed is called Loama (Lo-Ah-ma) . I take one from my mini fridge in my room and eat it. It taste like Sour Dough bread! Then I take a nice hot shower.

When I finish my shower I get in my sleeping clothes and sit on my bed browsing on my iPhone. Out of nowhere my phone rings telling me I have a text message. It's from an unknown number.

'Hi it's Liam. I wanted to know what you were doing tomorrow. The boys and I would love to get to know you and your friends.'

That text brings butterflies to my stomach remembering the amazing day I just had meeting one direction! I honestly can't believe they are staying here for the whole summer! It's incredible.
