Moral of the Nightshade Sticks
For as long as the people could remember, there existed an immense kingdom, south to the Everwood forest. The Kingdom of Mycel. The King of Mycel, Isdathor was only fifteen when he took over his parent's empire. As a young man of twenty five he had already ventured far beyond the Grey Sea of the moon to the east and beyond the Purple Mountains in the north. He had also brought great prosperity to his kingdom by retrieving the long lost song of Aurora.
During his adventures he had acquired a tremendous amount of knowledge and ruled his kingdom with great expertise. One of his quests took him to the land of the star elves, a civilization of elves who had first settled near the mountain of the sky. Over time the original inhabitants' descendants began to worship the sky. And so the star elves was the name given to them by distant travelers who by chance happened to befall upon their now very advanced civilization and enjoy their hospitality and continue on their journey. This place although very popular was very hard to find as most of the elves in the area had decided to keep to themselves and ignore most of the annoyingly nosy world that they had 'abandoned'. The area where they resided was Isnaviel and had a rough translation for group of bright stars in ancient elvish. Isnaviel was very far from his own country.
There he fell in love with Princess Linna. She, unlike her brethren she was gifted. She was a star brought down to earth upon the request of the king and queen of the elves, who wanted a child. And so the Eldar tree, an ancient tree with a mind of its own, a direct gift from the gods had brought Linna down from the skies. Upon her transformation from a star to a human she gained a powerful gift. Her blood was enchanted and whoever would bear any sort of blood relation with her would develop special abilities that would be infused with their essence.
Eventually Isdathor was married to Linna in a grand ceremony in which she gave up her immortality for Isdathor. He took her with him back to his kingdom and together they ruled the Kingdom with great prosperity. After many red moons of ruling Mycel, Linna decided to have a child. After one red moon had passed she gave birth. But instead of bearing one child, four children were born to her. All of her children were half elf, half human and because they shared a blood relation with her they began to develop unique special abilities. They first began to show signs of powers when they were very young.
Xlias, who was born with fair hair, began to develop the ability to bend the five the forms of elemental energy: Fire, Water, Air, Earth and lightning. However he could not control the seventh form of energy, darkness. Tall, muscular and his long light hair almost always tied up, along with his chiseled long face and quirky grin won many hearts.
Ursbyne was arrogant and thought of himself above all others. Thought still child to Linna, he would show respect for his parents and brothers only. He had the power of immense strength. A strength not known to any man pulsed throughout his blood. Because of this ability he was born with a ribbon of transparent skin on both his arms. Whenever he used his strength a purple energy like substance would pulse through his arms and it would be visible only in the transparent part. Tallest among his brethren he stood ten feet tall and his overly muscular frame was inhumanly intimidating. He had little hair on his head leaving his head looking shiny, the most common term used by his brothers being "chubby".
Ixarel was darkest one of them all. He had a pale complexion and black hair. Looking like a victim of plague and not royalty, his jet black hair was cut very unevenly and was always wept across his face concealing his forehead. His impish face had several scars, although no one knew why and his bony structure wasn't as weak as it seemed. He never spoke much. At first Isdathor was convinced that the child was cursed and was ready to kill the child at birth. But Linna had faith a spared his life, and later he proved himself worthy. He had the ability to control and perform dark spells with expertise. He also had a strange inclination to wearing full body armor almost always.
