"Naruto it breaks my heart to see you like this!" I said holding his hand as he laid in the hospital again.

"This is nothing, believe it." He said with a tired tone.

"This isn't nothing Naruto!" I said with tears coming down at a steady pace.

He looked startled, and he intertwined our fingers tightly.

"Y/n I'm doing this for the future, I'm doing this so our kids can live in a world without all of this." He told me while holding my chin to make me look at him.

"We won't be able to have kids if you keep putting yourself in danger like this!" I said letting a sob escape.

"Don't say that y/n." He said, with his tone softening.

"It's true Naruto, if you care about our future you have to spot fighting Sasuke's battles for him! He's a big boy he knows what he's doing!" I said glaring at him.

"Sasuke is my friend, I will protect him just like I'd protect you."

"You and I aren't friends!" I shouted.

"Y/-"

"No! You can't tell me I mean as much to you as a friend, Naruto I'm in love with you I don't know if you feel the same but don't treat me like a friend!" I said letting go of his hand and getting up.

"Y/n!"

"What?!" I asked angrily stomping my foot to a stop.

"I do love you! I would die for you at the drop of a hat, and I would rather be killed than hear you say I don't love you!" He said getting off of the hospital bed.

"I'm sorry." I said walking toward him.

"Me too." He said taking me into his arm.

I nuzzled my face into his warm chest. I felt something wet hit my hair.

"Are you crying?" I asked looking up.

He tried to wipe them up, but I beat him to it.

"No I'm not!" He tried to defend himself.

"It's ok to cry." I said giving him a gentle kiss on his cheeks.

He tilted my chin up and placed a kiss on my lips.

"I'm going to protect you for the rest of my life, and I won't fight his battles anymore, but I won't stop looking for him. I hope you understand."

"I don't understand, but I'll support you." I said hugging him close.

"That's all I ask for." He told me.
