Making Friends and Enemies

Marinette's POV: "Miraculous Ladybug!" I shouted, tossing the item from my Lucky Charm into the air. Chat Noir and I fist-bumped, and said, "Pound it!" While the three new girls high fived each other. Chat and I walked up to them, and I said, "You guys must have lots of questions, but Chat Noir and I are about to transform back, and we'd rather not reveal our identities. How about we meet up later, and you can ask all of your questions. Just as long as we get to ask a few too." The girl with light blue hair nodded in agreement, and I realized I didn't know their names, but I decided to ask them later, when we met up. "How about we meet on the roof of the Louvre tomorrow night to chat?" The pink haired girl asked. "Sounds like a plan!" I grinned. "See you then! Bug Out!" I exclaimed, as I threw my yo-yo and swung off.

*Timeskip to patrol that evening*

Still Marinette's POV: "So, what do you think of those girls?" I asked my black-clad partner that night toward the end of patrol. "They're purr-etty good, if you ask me. Super strong, and smart," he answered. I rolled my eyes at Chat Noir's lame pun, but I agreed that they seemed really cool.

*Another time-skip to school the next day*

Adrien's POV: "Adrikins!!" I heard the shrill voice of Chloe, the mayor's daughter, shriek, just before I sat down at the table I shared with Nino and, for the next two months, Iris. Blast! I thought to myself. I was so close! I sighed, and looked up at my childhood friend. "Hi Chloe," I grumbled. "Hi Adrikins!" She squealed, obviously not hearing the tone in my voice that said I didn't want to talk to her. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever!" She continued. "We saw each other yesterday. Here, at school," I reminded her. She sighed, and said, "Yeah, whatever," just as Iris, Talia and Auriana walked in.

Iris's POV: We walked into the classroom and Talia, Auriana and I split up to go to our seats. I noticed the blonde girl that Talia sat next to talking to Adrien, who looked more than a little uncomfortable. "Hi," I started, "I'm Iris, one of Talia's friends." The girl looked me up and down before saying, "if you think that just because you're sitting next to Adrien means that you can take him from me, you are sadly mistaken, peasant. Hmph!" And with that, she turned and flipped her hair, nearly hitting me in the face with it! "Nice to meet you too?" I said, with a look of confusion on my face. "That's Chloe. She's the mayor's daughter," Adrien told me as we took our seats. "Bit of a handful huh?" He smiled. "You can say that again!" Nino laughed as he joined us at the table. Suddenly, I heard Talia shout, "Ow! Hey! That's my bracelet! Give it back, it was a gift from my parents!" I looked over to see that somehow Chloe had managed to yank the beautiful blue bracelet that Talia used to transform off of her wrist. "No!" Was Chloe's response. "You're too poor to own anything this nice, It's mine now!" Talia's face was a mixture of pure horror, fear, and anger. "You know nothing of my family!" My friend shouted, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. Auriana jumped in and said, "Yeah! She could be a princess for all you know! Maybe she's even a magical princess from a different planet!" I quickly interrupted my red-headed companion before she could reveal our true identities, "What Auriana means is," I said throwing the Voltan the best death stare I could manage, "Talia may not be as rich as you, but you don't know her well enough to be able to determine if her parents have enough money to buy her that bracelet. Now, give it back." I growled as I turned back to face Chloe. I heard cheers from the rest of the class, as they applauded me for standing up to that brat. Chloe shrieked again, and yelled, "Fine! You girls may have won for now, but mark my words, you will be punished for this!" She slammed Talia's bracelet on the table in front of her, and sat back in her seat, folding her arms with a huff as she did so. As Talia put her bracelet back on, I was reminded of someone named Missy from back home, and how she was always acting like Chloe and trying to steal Nathaniel, my crush, away from me. I mulled over Chloe's last few words and with a jolt, I realized she sounded very much like someone else I knew, Praxina.
