*Jungkook*
"Hello sweetie," Mrs. Jeon greeted her son as he stepped in the house, "How was your day?"
Closing the front door, Jungkook shrugged. "Good, I guess." Now, Jungkook may be silent at school, but he couldn't ignore his mother when he got home. "Where's Jimin?" Jungkook asked as he followed his mom to the kitchen.
"Okay," Mrs. Jeon looked at her son with confusion, "What's this sudden interest in your cousin? You haven't spoken to him or acknowledged him since he started living here two months ago."
"Need advice." Jungkook answered shortly.
"What kind of advice?" Mrs. Jeon lifted her eyebrow, clearly curious.
"There is a new girl at school." Jungkook said as he took a seat at the kitchen bar. "She was staring at me a lot and she even sat with me at lunch."
"Did you talk to her?" Mrs. Jeon asked as she grabbed blackberries, strawberries, and blueberries out of the fridge. Jungkook watched his mother silently as she dumped the various berries in a blender with ice, milk, and sugar.
"No, but she definitely talked to me." Jungkook finally replied and his mother nodded and began blending.
"So," Mrs. Jeon sighed as the blender cut off, "it sounds like a girl likes you. What is it you want Jimin to help you with? I mean, I love the boy because he is my nephew, but he is a womanizer. Not exactly someone I would go to for advice about women."
"That's exactly why I need his advice, I want her to go away." Jungkook explained and his mom gave him a disapproving look.
"You know, you could actually try talking to her. Do you even speak to anyone but me?" Mrs. Jeon asked as she poured two glasses of the berry smoothie.
Jungkook shook his head. "I don't need to."
"You didn't even read the pamphlet I put on your desk this morning, did you?" Mrs. Jeon changed the subject and placed her hand on her hip.
"No," Jungkook shook his head, "I threw it away." Jungkook sighed and covered his face with his hands. His mother cleared her throat and Jungkook removed his hands from his face, he knew what was about to happen.
"You know what Jungkook?" Mrs. Jeon pointed to him. "I'm tired of you fighting this therapy thing. You need to go. It has been a year and a half since the incident."
"Incident." Jungkook sneered and looked away from his mother. "Just a fucking incident."
"Hey! I am your mother. Do not talk to me like th-"
"Taehyung died mom!" Jungkook yelled, cutting off his mother. "Why can't you just say that?! Stop calling it 'the incident'. He fucking died, just say it." Jungkook sniffed as tears began to flow down his cheeks. Mrs. Jeon kept silent and watched in pain as her son cried. She knew if she went over there and hugged him, he would just push her away. Once Jungkook stopped crying, his mother opened her mouth to speak but Jungkook beat her to it. "Where's Jimin?"
Mrs. Jeon pursed her lips for a moment and then sighed. "Dance studio."
"Thanks." Jungkook muttered and stalked off, leaving his mother alone in the kitchen, with two berry smoothies in front of her.
...
"Hey Jimin." Jungkook called out to his cousin who was gliding across the dance floor, his movements fluid and in time with the music that was playing. Jimin froze mid step and swiftly turned around to see Jungkook standing in the doorway of the dance studio.
"Wow," Jimin laughed and made his way to the speakers at the side of the room, switching the music off. "You're actually talking to me. Need something?"
Jungkook nodded and entered the dance studio. "Your advice."
"My advice? I am only a year older, what could I possibly help you with?" Jimin chuckled and crossed his arms.
"The new girl." Jungkook shrugged. "I want her to leave me alone. She seems to want to befriend me and I have no interest in getting close to anyone."
"So, I guess that means after I give you my advice, you will go back to not talking to me?" Jimin looked at Jungkook questioningly and the latter nodded. "Thought so." Jimin sighed and looked at his quiet cousin for a minute. "Well, you might not like what I have to say."
"Why?" Jungkook questioned.
"My advice is to give her a chance. You never know, might be good for you." Jimin shrugged and put his hand on Jungkook's shoulder. "You are always so quiet, and you push everyone away. At least try to make a friend."
"I thought you were the king of getting rid of girls?" Jungkook sneered, making Jimin smirk.
"Call me when you start dating her. Then I might be able to help."
Jungkook nodded and turned around to leave the dance studio. "Thanks anyway."
"Jungkook." Jimin said and Jungkook turned to look at him. "You should really try something other than that blank facial expression." Jungkook nodded without a word and left the studio.
...
Jungkook jolted up and wiped away his tears. Another night, another nightmare. Jungkook got out of bed slowly and stumbled out of his room. He made his way downstairs and flipped on the kitchen light. Jungkook was about to open the fridge to get some water when he noticed a small sticky note on the door. He peeled the note off the door and read it slowly.
~Jungkook, I saved your berry smoothie from earlier. I had made it for you. Please eat it before Jimin wakes up because you know he will eat it. I'm sorry for earlier. I love you. ~MOM~
Jungkook stared at the note blankly for a second but soon his expression softened. "I'm sorry too."
