The water is so cool and clear. the light reflects off of it in the most appealing way. reach out and touch it. A sharp neigh interrupts your thoughts and a small white pony comes into view. It comes closer and something makes you reach out and touch its mane. You pull out water lilies and weeds. "It must be lost" you think to yourself. You keep patting its neck and soon it wades deeper into the river. You find yourself wading after it and stroking it. It swings it's head around to look at you and it's eyes sparkle. " One ride won't hurt anything" you say and the pony bends down so you may get on. You tangle your fingers in its wet mane. It's skin is smooth and as cold as death. You urge the animal forward and it trots off. You spend hours splashing and cantering, when you realize the sun is setting. " Thank you pony" you whisper as you lean over its neck to give it a hug. When you go to get off, you can't. No matter what you try, you are stuck. The pony swings it's head around and you see sharp teeth, fringed ears, and a sparkle in its eye. You realize what it is. A Kelpie. You shake in fear as it continues to look at you. Suddenly, it plunges into the deep river, taking you with it.
