V1 C1 The Very Reason

400 years ago

"Precht-san!! Where is Mavis-nee?" A little girl rushed up to the said man with a merry look plastered against her face. Precht's face paled when he heard the name 'Mavis' from the girl. He can't tell her 'Your older sister is dead' or 'She was killed by the black magician, Zeref' she would be depressed! At such a young age she only had Mavis to grow up with.

The little girl's joyful look turned into an anxious look "Precht-san?...What's wrong?" She asked. Precht snapped out of it as he quickly smiled "N-Nothing is wrong! Mavis-nee is on a job and she'll be gone for a really really really long time, Iana." He stated while sweat rolled down from his face, hoping she would believe a lie from an old man.

"Oh! When will Mavis-nee comeback then?" The said girl asked as her anxious look disappeared with a curious look. "Maybe a few months. How about you go there and talk to the other guild members?" He suggested. Iana nodded happily as she ran to talk to the other guild members

After several months later

Those few months Precht was researching ways to revive Mavis and he told to all the other members to never tell Iana what happened to Mavis. Iana on the other hand was outside of the guild waiting for Mavis day after day. The little one missed her older sister whom she shared so many memories with.

One day, a blond man came up to Iana sitting beside her patting her head. "Yuri-san...Precht-san said Mavis-nee will come back after a few months but she never came..." She said as tears fell from her eyes. It broke his heart seeing her cry. To him Iana was like his very own little sister "Maybe her job was realllyy hard and she's trying her best to finish it how about you wait more years..." Yuri said as he hugged the little one.

After a couple of months

Iana found out about her older sister's death making her turn depress. She wouldn't eat a single bite or even sleep a blink. Ever since then she would always come to the forest since that place was the only thing she had left to remember her older sister. One day, when she finally hit her limit and she fell asleep in the woods while tears fell from her eyes.

A green-leaf like scale dragon was walking by and saw the sleeping figure "A human girl..." It said softly. After a few minutes it hesitantly picked her up and flew away with Iana on his back.

After a few hours Iana finally woke up in an unfamiliar forest but this forest was more beautiful than the forest near Fairy Tail. It had more unique and beautiful flowers and plants around and more animals. She slowly stood up and looked around to see the dragon.

Surprisingly she wasn't scared of the dragon. She felt a connection to it. She curiously went near the dragon touching it's leaf like scales making the dragon wake up showing it's wings that made Iana flew to the lake nearby. "Tsk...the human girl is awake." The dragon said and made it's way to the lake to fetch her. She climbed out of the lake coughing water "Cold..." She mumbled while trembling. The dragon gave a huge leaf to her "Dry yourself with that." It said.

Iana obediently did as it say. "What's your name, brat?" The dragon said looking at her "I-Iana... Lucille Iana Vermilion..." She said calmly "What's your name miss dragon?..." She asked looking back to the dragon "Fysiton, the nature dragon. And I'm not a miss little brat!! I'm a sir. You're pissing me off. Go home!" He growled.

"H-Home..." She looked down sadly "I-I don't have a h-home to go to...M-My parents and older sister i-is dead..." She added and started crying. Fysiton's eyes widen when he saw her cry "Tsk...fine. You can stay with me then. I'll teach you nature dragon slayer magic."

After a few years (July 7, X777)

"Nature dragon's roar!!!" Iana yelled as she let out wind and leaves out of her mouth hitting a huge rock making it break into pieces "Look Lea, Old dragon! I'm strong now!" She said to her pet cat or exceed that has red fur and to her foster father, Fysiton. "Yea, yea brat. Nice job. Now go get food with Lea." Fysiton said to her.

Iana only huffed and ran off to find food. "That brat can survive on it's own now...I thought her everything I know. I'll miss that brat's voice, fails, and especially her smile..." He said with a sigh "Goodbye now...brat or should I say...my daughter." He said and slowly disappeared with a smile.

After a few minutes Iana went back with Lea "That old dragon will be sure be impressed on how I got a deer!" She smiled happily "Old dragon!! We're back with a huge food." She said but got no reply. "Where is he?...H-He's scent is g-gone..." She mumbled and looked around "Old dragon!?...Fysiton??" She kept yelling as he searched for him until evening. "Iana...Fysiton is gone..." Lea said. "N-No!! He won't leave me!" Iana cried sobbed as she hugged her knees.

"I'm with you, brat...inside your heart..." Fysiton said in Iana's head and the last of his power he had, he turned Iana into a tree and Lea into a flower then placed them inside a small bottle. He as well made a village in that forest to protect the bottle.
