During the ancient times of Krutayuga, there was a demon named Vrutraasura. His associates slash followers were known as Kalakeyas. Which was a distinct and powerful tribe of Danavas (demons). They were harsh and disturbing to the saints and devatas, hence lord Indra killed Vrutraasura. After they lost their only leader they all fled to the sea, now a part of the Ganges in north India and were successful in hiding there for weeks.
Bhrunga a powerful Demon and Vatsala a farm girl bring out the taste of poison in their lives.
