I groaned as Maxxie's phone went off. He reached over me and turned off the phone before kissing my neck.
He soon got off and went over to his wardrobe and put on pants and check himself in the mirror. I rolled my eyes and smiled before sitting up,
"When are you coming back to college?"
I shrugged and grabbed my phone,
I'm having surgery next week. Hopefully I'll get my voice back.
Maxxie read the message and smiled,
"That's great, Annie."
He soon left and I fell back asleep. I felt the bed shift under me and I groaned before rolling over and snuggling into Maxxie's duvet.
When I woke up, Maxxie was back. He laid next to me and wrapped his arm around my waist,
"How long have you been awake?"
I held up three fingers,
"Three days?"
I shook my head,
"Weeks?"
I shook my head again,
"Months?"
I nodded and his eyes widened, "Why didn't I know that?"
Grabbing Maxxie's sketchbook, I opened to a new page and started scribbling down a message,
'My mum wouldn't let me leave the house. Why didn't you call or come see me?'
Maxxie read the message and looked down at me, "I didn't know you were awake, Annie. I would have been down there the second I found out."
'Mum said she told you.'
He shook his head, "She didn't tell me anything, Annie."
...
I sat down in between Sid and Chris, waiting for the play to start. Maxxie invited me and said everyone wanted to see more of me.
"We're over ten minutes late now. It's time for action." Chris commented before he started slowly clapping.
Everyone was confused and began clapping along,
"If Rome won't go to Mohammed, then Mohammed will clap until it does."
The curtain began to pull away and people cheered, "Works every time."
I rolled my eyes and smiled when I saw Maxxie's silhouette. He sang his part and I watched him turn to greet Michelle, but his smile dropped when he saw it was someone different.
He continued his singing and dancing, but glared at the girl. Clearly he didn't like her very much.
When it came down to the final scene, Maxxie and the girl kissed. I knew it was only for the show, so I didn't mind much.
They pulled away and Maxxie said something to her before backing away. He was about to leave the stage before pulling him back and slapping him.
"No! That's not how it goes! It's not! It's not!" She screamed at him.
"You think you can fuck my life up and I'll fancy you? Look at yourself! Stay out of my life!" Maxxie yelled before leaving the stage.
The girl began to cry and the curtain closed. Chris stood up and began clapping,
"Now that's an ending."
...
I laid in the hospital bed, preparing myself for the surgery. Maxxie held my hand as they wheeled me towards the room.
I wouldn't let my mum come with me because of the lies she told me.
Just before I was brought into the room, Maxxie kissed my hand and let go,
"I'll be waiting!"
