What?..
Why the hell would Blayke be texting Ryan?
Jace stared at the text for at least 30 seconds, before turning his gaze to his Chinese food.
What deal did Blayke and Ryan make?
Ryan came down the stairs and kissed Jace's cheek, before getting comfortable back in his seat.
Jace continued to just sit there in silence, not even eating his food.
Ryan didn't notice his behavior change until he had finished his entire box of Chinese.
"Babe, what's wrong?" Ryan spoke calmly, watching Jace's face.
"What deal did you make with Blayke?" Jace looked up at Ryan, watching for his first expression.
It was exactly the expression Jace was looking for.
Guilt.
Ryan swallowed and shifted in his seat, uncomfortably.
"What do you mean?" Ryan stuttered a bit, looking down at his food.
"You got a text from my ex boyfriend." Jace spat the words at him, standing up out of frustration.
"Jace, listen. It's not what it started out to be okay?" Ryan moved to grab Jace's hands but Jace was way ahead of him.
"What did it start out to be, Ryan." Jace couldn't hold back the shakes now, he was trembling.
"Blayke hired me to date you. I have no idea why, but he did. But, I fell for you. Completely. Just like Heath Ledger did in that 10 things I hate about you movie." Ryan moved to try and cup Jace's face but Jace was not having that at all.
Jace's hand rose and landed across Ryan's cheek, leaving a bright red mark.
"Get the flying fuck out of my house." Jace glared at his once lover, staring over his face searching for the man he once truly believed in.
"Jace.. please..." Ryan pleaded as he held onto the counter for support.
"Get out before I kill you, Ryan." Jace spat once more, turning his back to Ryan.
Ryan sighed and went to grab his keys off the counter before turning to Jace. "I love you, I hope you know that."
And just like that, Ryan was gone.
Jace was alone.
Shaking and crying his eyes out into the pillow he and Ryan once shared.
Blayke hired someone to be with me.
Ryan doesn't love me.
I'm a fucking joke.
