Phil's POV
I unwillingly woke up to the sound of my annoying alarm clock, only to be discouraged by the early time and fall back into a deep slumber. Luckily, I have an alarm set for a bit later in the morning ,which will give me the needed extra minutes of sleep.
I finally woke up to prepare myself with my second day on the job. I wish it would be appropriate for a teacher to dress casually instead of button up shirts and suits. I'm able to bend the rules a bit and wear colorful patterned button up shirts though. While sitting in my cramped kitchen enjoying my favorite cereal, I get a text from Dan saying he'll be here in ten minutes with a variety of emojis describing his morning. I smiled at his text before hastily finishing my cereal. I decided to reply with a simple,"k, see ya". I finished off my morning routine by brushing my teeth and hair. I went into the bathroom to get my contact lenses, but they were no where to be seen. Luckily I'm wearing my glasses so I'll be able to get through the day with out any near death experiences. The only problem with my glasses is that i don't like the way I look in them to much. I honestly prefer not to wear my glasses to often, but when I don't have my contacts I don't really have a choice. I was gathering my materials for the day to stuff into my book bag , when I here a knock on my door. I open the door to find a tired looking Dan holding a copy of Macbeth.
"You look like you got hit by a bus"
Dan responded with a tired yawn and mumbled," it's not my fault that I have to sort through dozens of plays my theatre students suggested for the second semester production."
"It is your fault for choosing the teaching profession" I stated.
Dan annoyingly grumbled "Can you please tell me you at least have some sort of caffeinated drink so I don't fall asleep on the toilet or something embarrassing like that. I sadly was to lazy to go shopping last night so I had no caffeinated drinks to wake me up this morning, it's a miracle that I've made it this far."
"Can't you just get a coffe in the teachers lounge?" I asked
"Their coffee sucks and isn't worth 25 cents, plus I know you're a coffee addict so I can assume you must have some coffee at the moment."
"Fine Sherlock, I'll make you a Lester special on the house" I jokingly said.
" just give me anything to wake me up."
We didn't have much time considering school starts soon, so I made Dan some instant coffee. Dan gladly drank his coffee and I grabbed my book bag so we were back on our way to school. Dan was in a better mood so we were also back to our strange banter.
" I don't see the point of a spring dance, especially when people are too awkward to even dance. I usually just see groups of people huddled in corners and eating the food at the dance for two hours."
Dan chuckled," It's quite different at our school, students usually have to much energy and are less awkward.it starts to get scary when students form a dance circle and push other students in to a dance battle. I wish I was joking, but sadly I've chaperone a few dances ."
"wow, that sounds a lot more exciting then what was at the last school I teached at."
"exciting isn't enough words to describe it, plus you can also bring deserts to the dance if you want but I'm always to lazy to even think about it."?
"Now I'm going to force you to bake springy themed deserts with me so we can be the cool teachers" i stated.
Dan laughed " fine I'll do it, but I think we're already to cool for this school."
