Kate's P.O.V
When Lindsey finally walked through the door she had a big smile on her face. The smile fell off her face as she looked around and saw us staring. "I can explain.." She started.
"Oh, really?" Charlie challenged. "You can explain that you went and ditched us to go hang out with some guy that you probably don't even know... but most likely you went stalking One Direction when you could have easily hung out with them if you had stuck with us. The only guy you wouldn't have seen was Niall... which is wierd since he is your favorite..." She looked over at Lindsey with and accusing face. I really didn't want to believe that she had ditched us for any of those reasons but she was gone for a pretty long time.
Lindsey looked at the ground with a guilty look on her face. You could tell she was disputing with herself on what to say or if she should tell us or something. She finally looked up with a sigh giving in. "Fine, fine. I'm sorry I wasn't here to spend time with you today but there is something I should tell you...."

Niall's P.O.V
I walked into the cabin with a grin on my face. I couldn't help it. There's something about Lindsey that makes me happy. When I came back, the lads were waiting for me.
"Hey, Niall. How was the stables?" Louis asked me. The guys know that I have a connection with the horses there. I go every time we come. It is usually empty, and that is what intrigued me to follow Lindsey.... besides the fact that she looked really pretty when she was trying to concentrate. She looks like she enjoys everything about horseback riding. Just thinking about her made me smile even wider.
"Hello? Earth to Niall." Louis said waving his hand in front of my face.
I shook my head and said, "Sorry man, it was good..."
He smirked. "Better than usual I'm guessing?"
I joined in. "What makes you say that?" Am I really that obvious?
"Everything. The smile, the way you walked in, the daydreaming-"
He was cut off when someone walked through the door. I turned to see Harry looking at us with a confused face. "What's with all the smirking?" He asked. Then his face turned into a smirk. "Who'd you prank this time?"
"We didn't prank anyone." I stated.
"Yeah, I was just explaining to Niall here why it was obvious that something happened at the stables that made him happy." Louis said to Harry. He knew that if something did happen and I didn't tell him right away, then I didn't want anyone to know at all. So obviously he was just saying that to get some back up and get it out of me.
Harry turned to me with a devious smile on his face. "So.... who is she?"
Wow they're good. "Why does it have to be a girl. Spirit could have gotten better...." I said looking at the floor. Spirit is a horse at the stables that's sick.
"Because, this is you we are talking about. There isn't much that can put that 'I''m in love' look on your face." Louis told me with a 'duh' look on his face like it was obvious. And according to them, it was.
I sighed in defeat. "Why does it matter anyways?"
"Because not every girl in the world can have that affect on you." Harry explained. "Now spill."
I wasn't sure what to do. I guess I could tell them because she said I could tell the boys. But I don't think I'm planning on telling Liam since he is James' friend. "Fine." I finally stated. "You know the friend Liam brough? James? And his sister came along too with her friends?" They nodded. "Well when I was at the stables I ran into one of his sisters' friends, Lindsey. I kinda followed her around for a while untill she caught me. We talked after that and had a lot of fun. She was really nice and not as girly as she seemed this morning. Its like I got to see the real her that not a lot of people get to see. She is a really secretive person though. She doesn't really want people to know that we are meeting each other and especially at the stables. Maybe that's why I feel like I can tell her anything." I shrugged.
"Dude, you've got yourself a keeper." Harry said to me with a smile. I smiled back at him with that thought in my head. Why not?
"Hey, we've better go to sleep because I heard we have a meager throw down of a soccer game tomorrow against a champion." Louis said with a smirk. But I hardly heard him, I was too busy thinking about a certain girl with long blonde hair.

Lindsey's P.O.V.
"I am a horseback rider." I say sighing and enjoying the feeling of my two best friends knowing one of my biggest secrets. "I been riding all my life. You said that there was a stables here." I said pointing to Kate. "So I went to go check it out." I admitted.
Charlie started cracking up. When she saw the serious look on my face she stopped suddenly. "Wait, you're being serious?"
Kate shot her a look and walked up to me. "Why didn't you tell us?" She asked.
"Yeah." Charlie joined in. "We're your best friends. Plus, it's not that big of a deal." That earned her a shove from Kate. She doesn't always call me her best friend because we have nothing in common and Kate is the only reason we can call each other friends, but for some reason I think there is something more. Maybe she has secrets too. I'll get back to that later.
"I just... I..." I sighed. They had to find out sooner or later. "I try to keep this girly impression for my mom cause she wants me to be a lady..... but it's also to keep me from remembering my dad." I sat down on the bottom bunk of one of the beds keeping my head down to hide the tears that were forming in my eyes. I never talk about my dad. I miss him so much. He died when I was 14 and I was never the same. "He was my best friend. I did everything with him. I was a tomboy, not as much as Charlie, but nothing like what I am today. I wish I could just find who I really am. I don't mind being girly, but it's not who I am." I told them looking up at them to see my two best friends looking at me with understanding faces.
"I'm sorry about your dad." Charlie said. "I know how much you can miss someone who is close to you." She was talking about how her father travels every week. "I'm surprised in your sudden outburst of less girlyness." Charlie said sarcastically, changing the mood. "That is definetly going to help you in the soccer game." She said rolling her eyes.
Kate shoved her again."Charlie!" She yelled with a glare. "Stop being so rude!"
"What? I was bieng half serious!" was her reply. We all started laughing untill Kate told us we were going to get to bed. When I went to sleep that night I knew things had changed between all of us.
